RMPDS assists consumer & household products companies in reducing their risk and liability. We collect product information as well as manage product exposures. This provides valuable data on formulation, toxicity, package labeling, package design and consumer usage that can be acted upon and leads to safer products over time.
We also transmit this information within 24 hours so you know of a product issue before you hear about it in the media, or worse, from a legal action. RMPDS becomes your partner in product stewardship and lifecycle. RMPDS's Quality Assurance department works closely with all clients to develop the necessary documentation to ensure regulatory compliance.

My daughter got into Baby vicks vapor rub. Took 20 minutes of being on hold to find out that no she didn't need to go to the hospital.
My veterinarian answered his phone as soon as I called and told me she was gonna be okay.
There is a prompt when you call for "possible poisoning" which is what I selected. Still 20 minutes.

Called to ask about my daughter who had eaten a compact powder dishwashing tablet. Took 10 mins for someone to answer and then all they said is "Well it's up to you what you wanna do"
Excuse me?? I called you to tell me what to do as it's your job to do so!!! Not only that but they didn't say what to do in terms of helping my child OR what to look out for... Absolute waste of my time and completely unhelpful. The amount of discern they have for callers is what's going to get people hurt or killed due to not letting them know what to do.
This call center is a harm to the public's health.

I got the opportunity to speak with a woman name Blair, she was very rude and unprofessional and tried to rush me off the phone. After asking if I could speak with someone else because of her rudeness she said no and accused me of changing my story. Horrible experience. I don’t understand how she managed to get a position that suppose to help people yet she showed horrible social skills.

As a healthcare professional who constantly needs to contact the RMPC, I find that their extreme hold times are completely unacceptable and unprofessional. I have had to handle several emergencies that could mean life or death (the most recent being a hydrofluoric acid ingestion), and I am so thankful that the patients came to me first instead of calling the RMPC. They would have waited on hold for >30 minutes, which is a huge difference when you have an actual emergency. Other poison centers do not have this problem.
