Fascinated by the possibilities in creating an entire look from start to finish, Maureen became a makeup artist for everything from beauty campaigns to weddings. A purifying facial that includes steaming, cleansing, exfoliating, extractions, a relaxing neck and shoulder massage and treatment mask customized to your skins needs. Suitable for all skin types. Microdermabrasion is a non-invasive treatment that removes dull, lifeless cells from the surface layer of skin.
The Studio at Zoku is the perfect venue for your private beauty event. Our bridal bungalow offers the perfect atmosphere for your bridal party to get ready for your big day. We also offer on location wedding services where our artists will come to your location to perform their services. This space is also great for Makeover parties, Sweet Sixteen beauty parties, or any group looking for a private space in which to be pampered.
Clients are encouraged to wear a mask for your appointment. While we will not be requiring masks on clients we do recommend that you wear one to ensure the safety of you and your service provider. It is no longer necessary to call the salon when you arrive. You may enter the salon at your appointment time and check in with the receptionist.

Hands down the absolute worst haircut I have ever had in my life - and I am 52. I HAD beautiful long layers and Jackie- who was senior level and charged $155 & assured me she could cut my hair- cut them all off and reshaped my entire cut. I’m embarassed to leave my house, it will take a year to grow this out. I cannot believe I was charged $155 for this. Jackie did offer to fix it at no charge and was very nice about it, but I would never let her cut my hair again. It’s been a week and I am still in shock everytime I look in the mirror. I’m upset beyond words.

I spoke with Zoku and was assured they had an expert on cutting curly hair & recommended Jackie. My hair is curly but I wear it blown out in a voluminous long layered style. I have always gotten compliments on my cut and style & am very good with styling it. Jackie's price for a cut is $155. I figured for that price it would have to look good. Where do I start? Firstly, on my way to the salon I received a phone call from their receptionist letting me know that the woman doing my hair was going to be late. It's funny how salons can charge you a fee if you cancel within a specific time, but when they waste your time there's nothing to be said about it. This was really only a a small annoyance, rather than anything. This was my first time at the salon, and I was there to get a single process done, just to dye my grays. Keep in mind, the prices at this salon are higher than average salons which is why I picked them. Higher prices

Love Zoku Salon, is a "NYC salon" llocated in Summit, NJ!! Front desk staff very professional and kind, always positive and friendly!! Every colorist is superb from Zoe, Isaac, AJ and the rest!! I've always had a fabulous experience coming here since ZoKu opened in Summit. They are my number one go to. for highlights/base and hair styling. Definitely unparalleled expertise. Understanding of what I want for my Asian hair!

I have recently started going to Zoku salon to get waxed by alex! She is amazing very kind and I feel like i have known her for years! She really puts her clients first! The front desk and staff are amazing and super sweet! Being a salon owner myself this place is beautiful and are very attentive to their clients! If anyone is looking for a wax girl I highly recommend alex! She has the biggest heart and makes me feel so comfortable during my experience!

I have had hair services by Christine Ku & Zoe Cortez since 2006. My hair looks great thanks to them & their creativity together. I attended 6 weddings this year & was happy to plan my hair appts the week before. I can recommend ZØKU in Summit without hesitation Zoe is a genius with color. I am a dark haired woman with lots of grey at the age of wanting to just go grey. She was brilliant and I am now a lovely shade of grey: my natural color at my age! So if you're thinking about doing this go to Zoku. It's not easy and Zoe worked a miracle. My normal stylist Mackenzie is out on maternity leave and I booked an appointment with another stylist. My experience was horrible. She didn't listen to anything I asked and may have been the worst blow out I've ever had. For the amount of money this salon charges, I was extremely disappointed. I put my hair in a ponytail the second I left the salon when normally I would be trying hold on to my post-salon look for as many days as possible. I only get my haircut twice a year and sadly this may be my last at Zøku.

My mother got her hair done by AJ, a rising star and amazing stylist who has done a phenomenal job to my mom's hair. He went above and beyond to assure my mother was satisfied with her hair, and made her feel extra special. I wish the salon website would his photo and name up there because as someone who worked very hard that day to pamper my mom, other people should know and give him a shot at doing some magic to their hair. Incredibly disappointed with this salon! Booked cut and highlights via the MINDBODY app. Since you can't choose what level stylist you want through the app, the salon booked me for highlights with a senior level colorist without letting me know beforehand. The saying, "The customer is always right," does not apply to them. What should've been no more than $200 for a cut and color, ended up costing me over $300. This was my first time coming... I called about 2 hours ahead and was booked with Megan $105... she was great I love the cut.. I got a trim with layers.. her assistant John was so sweet and did a great wash.. my hair looked so healthy after and seemed if I got a color done... I'm thinking of getting a color done with AJ soon.
I usually go to salons near me that are pretty cheap and they do an "okay job". I loved ZØKU so much! A little pricey but it's totally worth it..

Every hairstylist is exceptional. I have my regular McKensy but over the years I have had my hair done by everyone is the shop. All outstanding. They really listen and do what you are looking for but honest enough to say when something may not work for you. All the stylists in training are well vetted and are working hard to move up.
The front desk is extremely pleasant even under pressure. You go out looking terrific.
They have a spa downstairs that is great for pre wedding make-up and hair.

I was looking for a new salon in the area and heard some good things about Zoku. When I called to book my appointment the receptionist was very friendly and able to fit me in the next day. From the moment I walked in I was greeted by the staff and made to feel relaxed and pampered. Pat was my stylist and she listened to what I wanted and offered advice on what to do. Out of this world, first class 5 star service from the moment I walked in to the moment I walked out, with the most amazing color and cut I have had in YEARS! I walked into Zoku with dark 2 toned hair that had stair step layers and I walked out with the most beautiful rich brown with such dimension and depth (had some hi lites put in also) and a cut that had people complimenting me on the train this morning. To start: I'm from NY and used to pricey salons. I have no problem with the $275 for my highlights with Isak who did a very nice job.
Now the issue: I mentioned to Isak that I would like a trim, and that I regularly do so with my color every six weeks at my usual salon (I'm in the Summit area now frequently for work). He suggested Jackie, who came over and said hello while I was in his chair

Although a lot of reviews on here mention the steep price preventing them from returning, I'm an avid believer in "you get what you pay for" when it comes to hair. People often forget that products are just as important as the talent at a salon, and your money is being spent on hair that not only looks beautiful, but is healthy and strong as well. I'd rather pay extra knowing my hair isn't being severely damaged or fried when changing the color.
