I do not live in NJ but have family who've been going to Rob for many decades and claim he's a national treasure. I don't tend to get my hair cut/styled at salons (they do), use color (they do) or really do much to my hair beyond wash it (they do). So I wasn't feeling the need to go to his salon several visits ago, and went begrudgingly because they nagged me and were paying.
I have been converted. Rob is truly an artist and has found ways to cut, style and color my hair that

I've been going to Rob for several years now, after having my share of mediocre or actively bad cuts. Rob is interesting and a bit quirky (in a good way), making visits comfortable and easy. He's extremely skilled - I've never had a bad cut. Although he doesn't generally have kids as clients (while Rob I think is good with kids, the place is not geared to them), he also cuts for my 10 year old son, who had a particularly bad experience with another local place. My son now enjoys getting his hair cut, doesn't want to go anywhere else, and looks great.
