NOLAS began as a chance brainstorm of Denise Riley and Kelly Rapp, two savvy business women whose differences seemed to fit together like yin and yang -It's the collision of two go-getters. Denise worked as a nail technician and owned her own salon in the Detroit area before moving to Akron. Kelly Rapp is a third-generation hair stylist, she is known for her great cuts and expertise in hair coloring and highlights.

I had such a great experience today!!! Lisa is amazing! I came in for a haircut. After my hair was damaged by another salon unfortunately. My hair was very long..it took me years to grow it out to the length I love! Unfortunately it was damaged so bad I had to cut 5 inches of my hair off. Lisa made me feel so comfortable. She was very professional she gave me great advice & I love love my short hair more!. I most definitely have my self confidence back! Thanks again 😊 I will be back!

I had the worst experience here. I was scheduled with Beth. When I got there she just did not want to do my hair. She was huffing and puffing. And extremely irritated. She was so upset she only had an hour and 45 to work with. I’m sorry but if you can’t do hair just say so. Awful experience

I have not cried this much over my hair since I was in high school. First photo is how my hair looked going into the appointment. Second and third are photos I showed the stylist of what I wanted. Last photo is what I got. I told the receptionist I wanted to schedule a full foil with a shadow root. She insisted what I wanted was a balayage and I told her in the past that had not been what I want. So she said she’d schedule it as a balayage to give me the most time with the hair stylist, but to show her pics of what I wanted once I arrived. Again when I spoke to the stylist, I said I wanted highlights

I have been a client of Nola's for over 5 years and received a variety of services. I just had my hair highlighted and lowlighted and cut for the first time by Kari. She did an amazing job! The color is perfect and the cut is just what I wanted. A great stylist I would highly recommend.

I have had the same hair stylist for the past 25 years so spending the summer in Ohio and post covid shut down I was scared to get my hair done by a new stylist. I also have thick and wavy hair. Nikki did a great job. Made me feel very comfortable and I'm very happy with the cut. I also felt comfortable with the salons safety precautions.

I went to Mark a couple of times because I was having problems with my shoulder. He was very knowledgeable and helped me the best he could. My shoulder was feeling amazing after seeing him but it wasn’t holding up due to further underlying issues. He made it known it was up to me whether I kept coming or not since I was not seeing long lasting results due to other problems my shoulder could be facing. I appreciated this because he mentioned he knows it can get expensive coming multiple times and if it wasn’t holding up it would be up to me what I wanted to do. This showed me he was honest

I was in desperate need of a pedicure, and I was excited to try Nolas Salon. I'd visited there for a hair cut a few years ago and thought it would be a good idea to try it for something else.
I was wrong. The technician was nice enough, but didn't seem very professional. The water was too hot for my feet and when I told her, she said I'd get used to it. I have very sensitive feet and I didn't "get used to it." She was rough when she was working on my feet and it wasn't a pleasant experience. Wonderful people at this beautiful salon. I can't say enough about the talented artists who work here. Management (Kelly and Denise) really lets you know they appreciate your business by making you feel comfortable no matter what the service, and offering special customer appreciation discounts and events frequently. The atmosphere here is so cute and changes with every season, there is a lot of attention to detail in the way the salon looks and this definitely trickles down to what they do, it shows in their work. I love Nolas!

I come here to get my eyebrows done with Nephisa and she is truly an artist! I have been seeing her for 15 years and even moving to DC six years ago, I will not let anyone else touch my brows. I am flying home the week before my wedding just for her. I would recommend Nola's and Nephisa to anyone and everyone! She is so genuine and genuinely cares about her clients and takes time to get to know them. Definitely one of my favorite parts of coming back home to Akron! Book her ASAP!!!

I needed a brow waxing while i was back home in Ohio and I was referred here by a friend who was getting a wax. I called around 2:52pm and was lucky enough to get a 3:30pm appointment. Prior to my appointment i checked yelp and Nola's has great reviews!!
The receptionist on the phone was very polite and helpful! She was accommodating and booked me an appointment with ease.

I love Nolas! The staff is always courteous and friendly, the services are great, and the salon is nice. The owner always makes a point to walk around and greet the customers, which is really sweet. Rhyan is my hairstylist; I always tell her she has my full confidence because she does such a great job every time. She is talented. Nafiseh is also the BEST brow artist in town I've recommended several people to Nolas for hair and brows and they're all regular customers now.

I'm a Nolas regular and absolutely love it! They always do a great job with my hair whether it be dying, trimming it or anything else I can imagine. The hair stylists are always nice and talkative and start great conversations with you and do a fantastic job. I always get tons of compliments on my hair.

My mother and I had an unexpected afternoon off, and wanted to have a spa day together. Nola's was able to fit us in for facials and mani-pedis with only a few hours notice.
The staff was friendly and highly-skilled; we thoroughly enjoyed our evening, courtesy of Lisa, Shirley, Alicia and Bridgette.
Prices are spa prices - this isn't a place I can get a regular manicure or eyebrow wax - but the quality of the service is totally worth the price.
This was the perfect place to enjoy our stay-cation.

This was the best experience I've ever had at a salon. I called in the morning and they were able to fit me in that afternoon. Sarah cut my hair and she was amazing! She listened to what I wanted and came up with the perfect style for me and showed me how to style it at home. I'm very picky with who I let cut my hair and I will definitely return.

Clean salon, inviting, big yet cozy at the same time. There is plenty of seating and it's comfortable! Coffee, water and snacks were out as well.
I only was there for an eyebrow wax and they did a great job. Booked another!
I also booked mani's for myself and bridesmaids and the owner was so kind at booking and explained everything to me. Nice things is, here we will have our own little area to hang out and we can bring our own champagne/wine/food!
