Dental cleanings are a standard part of our dental services as we focus on removing plaque and tartar from the teeth. Plaque is the soft, sticky, bacteria that starts to form on the teeth over time. Teeth are bathed in saliva and need the saliva to flush bacteria from the mouth. If there is an excessive amount of bacteria in the mouth, patients will see a serious problem with tartar buildup.
Dental fillings are used to restore damage to a tooth when it has become decayed. Fillings are the composite material that is used to seal the area within a tooth where the decay was removed. It is important to close off the space where bacteria enters and leads to additional decay. Composite material is the most common filling material as it blends well with the coloring of the rest of your teeth.
Protecting your teeth from decay is a full-time job! Jenson Dental is committed to providing you with the best dental service possible. One of the dental treatments we use are dental sealants. Dental sealants are a thin, plastic material that is applied to the chewing surfaces of the molars. Thorough brushing and flossing are important to help remove particles stuck between the teeth and embedded in the gums.
