The Gifford family business started four generations ago in the 1920's, when Mary "Tillie" Gifford opened a flower stall at the Portland Farmers Market. Upon returning from Service in Europe at the close of World War II, Marshall Gifford (Tillie's son) and his wife opened their first flower shop in Northeast Portland.
Our arrangements are unsurpassed for style, quality and freshness. Select a style below and price point and our talented design staff will create a unique arrangement to fit your budget. A mix of flowers that are currently in season. Designers select and arrange from the freshest array of colors and greens in the container shape of your choice.
Gifford's stocks a wide assortment of flowers unsurpassed for freshness and quality within the Portland Area. From late Spring through early Fall, flowers come direct to us from local growers. Daily, local growers pull up to the front of the shops and drop off freshly cut flowers. In the late Fall and Winter, flowers come from greenhouses in the Northwest and from fields as far away as New Zealand.
Gifford's stocks a large variety of Orchids, blooming, and green plants for office or home. We carry a wide assortment of containers. Choose from baskets, terra cotta, ceramic, and contemporary tin and aluminum containers. Our designers can create a European basket garden or dish garden for any occasion.
Orders received by 12:30 p.m. Pacific Time Zone can be delivered that same day. We also offer "express deliveries". Please call 800-875-9193 and one of our staff will assist you if you need a timed or express delivery. We deliver twice daily, six days a week to: Portland, Lake Oswego, Beaverton, Hillsboro, Aloha, Tigard, West Linn, Tualatin, Wilsonville, Oregon City, Milwaukie, Clackamas, Gresham as well as Vancouver, Washington.

I ordered flowers through their website for a co-worker's birthday, which was the next day. The arrangement arrived early the day of her birthday so she was able to enjoy them all day - much appreciated! The arrangement was beautiful and better than expected! I didn't interact with anyone since it was all done online, but I am very pleased with the customer service as I requested an early delivery and they came through. Also, their prices were very reasonable compared other downtown floral shops. I highly recommend this place for flower deliveries!

I've had the opportunity to work with Laura quite a few times, and she's always amazing. I love to see what she arranges. She does a great job of incorporating the bride's vision, but also being creative at the same time. She's one of my go to florists to recommend to people. Seriously. Amazing. And super super nice.

Another exemplary floral delivery. Not sure if I'm just getting lucky but I have never had any issues with Giffords. They are literally my go to florist in Portland. I've been using them for four years and I have had the best customer service and flowers delivered. I call in, give them my name, they pull up my account and I tell them a price point, confirm my recipient and card number and I am good to go. Sometimes I even put in special requests for an early morning delivery or no specific flower because the fragrance is too strong etc, and they do what they can. On a side note, I worked

Gifford's always has a dazzling array of beautiful flowers from which to choose. They open early enough that I often pick up a bouquet for coworkers on my walk to work. You can purchase a pre-assembled bouquet, let them hand-craft one for you on the spot, or hand-select your own stems. I prefer the latter since I like to create an arrangement with a particular personality in mind. The service is friendly and Gifford's prices are very reasonable.

Needed a gift for a coworker, goggled nearby florist, Gifford's was the closet and they were OPEN at 7am. I hadn't the slightest clue of what I was going to get until this colorful pot captured my gaze. The ladies totally set my day off right with wonderful personalities and attentiveness to my wants. Plus, they hooked it up with a buck off the purchase in honor of pride week. BAM!

I have always used Giffords for my floral needs. I used to live in Portland, but have been living in Dallas for the past 6 years. When I went to order Mother's Day flowers this year I could not remember the name of Giffords florist so I simply went online to Teleflora to place an order. I placed the order on the 11th of the month for Mother's Day delivery of the 14th. I received an email the morning of the 14th from Teleflora stating that they could not fulfill my order - needless to say, I was FURIOUS! Pretty disappointed in Gifford's today. My husband has been ordering flowers from them for 7 years. I absolutely love every bouquet I've ever received, so much that we drive downtown to get them now that we've moved. We order the same thing every time, "a white, purple and blue bouquet, between $50-$60." They're large, beautiful bouquets every single time. The flowers always vary and require a huge vase, and often continue to bloom on the counter.

I'm pretty sure the gentleman who offered to help me with an arrangement wasn't a professional. He attempted to help me with my first selection of flowers but it wasn't quite coming together. I figured the problem was my selections, since I'm not a professional, so I told him to put together his own arrangement and I'd wait inside.
The two ladies behind the register asked if I needed help and I told them that the gentleman outside was attempting to help me but that I didn't like the first try. They kinda shrugged it off, one walked away while the other proceeded

We got a nice basket of house plants from Gifford's for our wedding and all of the plants ended up with little flies jumping all over the soil and trying to kill the plants. I called to ask what they recommended to kill the bugs and they acted as though they had never seen or heard of a plant having any such pest. Needless to say, we will not be recommending them. We purchased some systemic insecticide and hope the plants pull through-no thanks to Gifford's.

It was super easy to order online that it almost felt too good to be true. I ordered flowers for my sister the night before I wanted them delivered. From the picture she sent me, they looked gorgeous! I put in my special request to have them delivered before 3 in case she left early from work. They got there before lunch. How awesome is that?? What can I say? I wanted to love this place so much! I love how they put their flowers out on the sidewalk during the day, the staff is friendly and has always been helpful, and their delivery was quick. So why three stars? In nearly every instance I've ordered flowers from Gifford's they've wilted and died within days (in some cases a day) of ordering them.
The most recent example is this Valentines Day. I spent $60 on flowers hand picked by the florist herself. I basically told her what kind I liked, and she picked them. I purchased the flowers at about 4 PM and by 6 PM the next

The only florist of 5 that I called in downtown Portland that answered their phone at 11:30am on a Saturday.
Wonderful customer service on the phone! Thorough and accommodating, sweet and funny personality. Just what you want when you are ordering flowers!
The arrangement was beautiful, and was well received by the recipient and they managed to complete a somewhat complicated delivery to Departure at the Nines.
