Today's cars, light trucks, and sport-utility vehicles are high-tech marvels with digital dashboards, oxygen sensors, electronic computers, unibody construction, and more. They run better, longer, and more efficiently than models of years past. Resist the temptation to suggest a specific course of repair.
Until the early 1970s, consumers had no way to distinguish between incompetent and competent mechanics. In response to this need, the independent, non-profit National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) was established in 1972. ASE's mission is to improve the quality of vehicle repair and service through the testing and certification of repair and service professionals.
Tires are the single most important safety feature on your car. They are the only thing that connects the car to the road, and life-saving technologies like antilock brakes and electronic stability control cannot do their job if the tires don't have a good grip on the pavement. As the adage goes, nothing lasts forever.

Great mechanics. Reasonable prices. They're always busy, but they are worth the wait if the repair isn't an emergency.

This is a "Mom and Pop" style auto parts store that still has everything. These fellas were super helpful and went the extra mile. My husband works out-of-town and wasn't home to help, so one of the gentlemen working there, came out, inspected my vehicle, and sold me the correct part. Forget O'Reilly's, Auto Zone, or Advanced; I'll be going here from now on!
