Extremely friendly staff. They kept me updated and told me exactly how much it would cost before they did the work - and then gave me a AAA discount. They also had the car ready on the next day, even after having to order a part. Very professional and easy to work with. I couldn't have been more pleased. They also texted updates with pictures of the car as it was being checked.

I've had several repairs at this shop and their work is quality and guaranteed. I recently took my old F-150 for automatic shifter repair but the quoted cost was out of my budget so I ended up doing the work myself. On this occasion I had to give 4 stars out of five because they missed the cause of the shifter slop. H-Tek suspected the plastic bushings on the shifter linkage to be the problem and although they were worn they were still functioning. I found the clip which acts as a spacer on the sides of shifter arm to be worn and the other missing which caused too much clearance between the arm

My 2008 F150 was having some electrical issues with lights not working. I had heard H-Tek advertising for quite a while on WCQR and decided to use their repair services. As this was my first visit, I did not know what to expect.
It was an excellent first impression. The online service scheduling was quick and easy to complete. Their facilities are very clean and tidy. And the staff was professional in every sense. My repair was done on time and well within the estimate initially provided.
But probably my two biggest takeaways from the experience (which I did not expect) was the use of technology

The best experience!!!!! I was traveling from CT to GA with 4 kids and 2 dogs and had major issue with wheel bearing. Eric personally came to the rescue fixed the issue so I could continue on to GA for our family vacation. H-Tek is one of the most professional operations I have seen with family first approach. Very grateful to meet Eric, Seth, Don and Roger. Great people. Friends forever. I will never forget my experience with Johnson City it was the best!!!! Don't go anywhere else if you live in the Tri-City area.

Way overpriced. When we had our engine replaced they tried to up-charge us $250 to replace a belt ($15) and spark plugs ($20 for the highest grade ruthenium) - something, mind, my husband had already done a few weeks prior to bringing our car to them (he’s also a mechanic). They said if we didn’t do this, it would void our warranty on our replacement engine. I urged them to look at the parts again, certainly they could be reused since they were nearly new, and the head mechanic (who apparently hadn’t even looked at our car when trying to convince me we needed his new and expensive parts)

Car broke down in the middle of the night. H-Tek help me arrange a rollback to come pick it up and deliver it to them(Harry’s Towing,highly recommend). We were leaving, so they correctly diagnosed the problem, sent a very detailed report via email of the issue and overall health of the car. I had them fix what was needed. Very reasonably priced, excellent quality work. Could not be happier. They have a customer for the long haul. Highly recommended.

I had taken my 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee to a dealer Grindstaff (big mistake) to investigate my the trouble light for 4wd. Their conclusion was a new transfer case was needed for $3,500. H-Tek determined only a component of that was needed. They fixed it for$900 and I have had no problems. They are my choice before any dealer.

Great service; friendly people. Work was done promptly and correctly-no issues whatsoever. They keep you updated on their progress and send you a vehicle "health report" after the service is completed-a very nice touch that could possibly help you avoid problems later on. Definitely recommend Hi-Tek!
