Mike moved to the Kansas City area over 20 years ago to begin his litigation career at the international law firm of Bryan Cave, LLP. Since then, Mike has worked extensively on complex litigation and class action lawsuits for clients around the Kansas City area and across the U.S. He is focused on representing his clients with compassion and respect.
Originally from Hastings, Nebraska, Mike graduated cum laude from Creighton University in 1993 with a BA in Economics. Mike graduated from the University of Nebraska College of Law, with Distinction, three years later. Immediately following graduation, Mike began a one-year judicial clerkship with the Honorable Justice William Connolly of the Nebraska Supreme Court.
Before co-founding Pospisil Swift, Matt began his career working for a Kansas City defense firm, where he represented clients in medical malpractice, legal malpractice, premises liability, construction, and commercial litigation cases. His time at the firm provided him with valuable insight into the strategies used by defense firms and insurance companies.

We used Matt Swift at Popsil Swift for an auto accident situation. I cannot recommend Matt enough! He is kind, caring, responsive, very calm and patient! Hired Matt Swift for a employment discrimination case. I am 9 months pregnant and we had mediation today. He came super prepared, never felt like, at any point in time, that I wasn't going to get what I wanted out of the case. I never felt stressed ever. He handled everything start to finish with very little need for me to even speak, which at 9 months pregnant is a major blessing. Ended up walking out with EXACTLY what I wanted. First of all, I would give them 10 stars if it would let me! We had an issue with a car dealership and Mr. Matthew Swift helped us out in getting our money back that we had invested in the vehicle without having to go to court.He managed to do this in one day. He was very personable and sympathetic to our problems and was willing to get it taken care of as soon as possible.It was such a relief to have someone who genuinely wanted to help. First off, I would absolutely recommend Pospisil Swift LLC to anyone. We were having issues with some work that was done at our home. Mr. Swift gave us great advice and guidance. He made sure to explain everything in laymen's terms so that we didn't have to try and decipher what the legal terminology meant. He was very down to earth and made us feel as though our problems were his problems.
