Essential Wellness Pharmacy is known as the pharmacy that doesn't like drugs. Traditional Western medications are appropriate to treat many medical problems and diseases. However, in America, up to 70% of illness may be preventable through lifestyle changes, proper nutrition, supplementation, and living life mindfully.

Bill Kalman was born in Rock Island, IL and grew up in a small town south of Moline called Orion. Bill has been a pharmacist in the Peoria area since his graduation in 1990. Bill's father is also a pharmacist who owned an independent pharmacy in Orion for almost 20 years! Bill was inspired to become a pharmacist from watching the close personal care his father gave to each individual patient.
Synthetic forms of progesterone and estrogen were developed because bio-identical forms cannot be patented. So what's the difference? Synthetic hormones may have a structure similar to, but not exactly the same as, a hormone produced by your body. These chemical differences are significant. I went into this place that wants me to skip my doctors copay. Ok, you had no resolution for me. I need to see my doctor for a prescription. False advertisement! I don’t know why any doctor would send their patients to you anyway. I’m guessing they don’t. Also, why would anybody have to pay for a consultation with a pharmacist? How ridiculous to see those ads. It’s free everywhere else. I can go to CVS for free and talk to my pharmacist! Moving on to find people that really care….. glad I didn’t pay to set up a consultation with your pharmacist!

I had to get a new medication administered in a nasal spray pump they provide. There is no other option. Two months in a row I bought it for $60, and half of it leaked back on me. When I called to tell them the first and second time, there was no help at all. It was my fault. Bill stated no one else had issues with the nasal spray bottle, but my n.p. said it has happened with some of her patients. I was never offered a resolution or discount on the refill. I have a background in customer service and this is not a very good example of it. Extremely disappointed ☹️

I have friends who get supplements here and other places and I checked this tiny place out cause I happened to be driving by this part of town. I was curious from conflicting things I heard so I stopped in. I get exact same supplements cheaper elsewhere closer to my house that has smart staff and know about what I should take and why. People were not mean, just not educated like a pharmacy should be in my opinion. They want to charge you to talk to a pharmacist too, what a joke and unheard of in my life. Places I go it is free. Just not a good fit for me. I encourage shopping around to save money

Only pharmacy in the area that carries a specific supplement that is the only variation of it's kind I can stomach AND has a reasonable price. The iriver went up about $1 from earlier this year, but it's in stock and has a good date, so I'm not complaining. I learned the hard way you can't trust online only vendors; you need a real pharmacy that's accountable who genuinely care about their patients, and that's EW. In spite of working for a mass chain competitor, I and the pharmacists I work with have no outspoken recommending the place when customers need specialty care or advice on things live

My mom told me over Thanksgiving that her doctor has her taking medicine made by this pharmacy. I had never heard of them so I did a quick google search. Week News 25 had a scary write up about them and here is the direct quote. "Essential Wellness Pharmacy, Peoria, 054018933 – pharmacy license placed on INDEFINITE PROBATION for

I have been using Essential Wellness pharmacy ever since they open. Their pharmacy is able to satisfy all my needs as a patient. The pharmacist and staff are extremely professional and help me find the right products To fit my lifestyle and help me we live a healthier life. I will never return or let any patient or family member to this UNSAFE COMPOUNDING PHARMACY. The states website has you listed on probation for MULTIPLE violations. Jeff was excellent and tried to keep an open mind because we have used you for many years since Jeff opened this pharmacy. I have done my research and I do not trust the cover up the new owner is using to throw the old ownership under the bus. The new owner Bill, is the reason the pharmacy is on probation by the state of Illinois. The dates don't add up, nor do the excuses. You claim you are being transparent, then show us publicly
