Alwan Pharmacy and Compounding Center in an independent neighborhood pharmacy that has proudly served the Peoria community for more than 30 years. We opened our second store, Morton Alwan Pharmacy, in 2012. While we have grown in size, our commitment to providing our customers with exceptional customer service remains the same.
In recent years, compounding has experienced a resurgence as modern technology and innovative techniques and research allow many healthcare providers to work with pharmacists to customize medications to provide patients the benefit of specifically tailored medication for their unique needs. At Alwan Pharmacy, we have a database of over 7,000 formulas and are adding to that number every month.

It appears we the customers all have the similar complaints of terrible customer service and forever wait times. I wonder if you guys have more than one phone even. No wonder all the terrible reviews are customers and the great reviews appear to be employees. I would love to do nothing and keep a steady pay check. Keep up the no work and you will find yourselves jobs less and out of business some day. I can say I had never heard a good thing about this place and I have experienced no good. I’m glad after waiting 2 weeks for my fiancés progesterone injections that we need to maintain our unborn

I have lived down the street from Alwan growing up. We used to use their old vending machine for 7 Up when we had upset stomachs. Anyway, I had travelled to the USA from Italy where I live now for Christmas 2021. Italy has very strict rules about Covid testing and we struggled to find anywhere in Peoria that would give us a test and the results back within a specified timeframe. My brother had gone to Alwan to do a quick test, as he was a close contact, so we were able to do an antigen test on December 31 which frankly saved the day! Everyone was very helpful and attentive, even coming to check

My nurse tell me and I see uneducated staff. Constant turnover. Patient do not get medication in timely manner. Myself and colleague have patient always troubled by this place if choose this option. Beginning to not send any patients your way, it takes over a week or more to make medicine. I have another pharmacy that makes within hours. Get your act together before nobody come to you and choose other pharmacy that will get medication same day to patient. I hear other rumors but I don’t mention those now to help you. Please straighten up and take care of patient safely and not be cheap for profit

I attempted to get an antibiotic made there to help my pet. They have a system were during business hours, customers have to leave a message and a staff member calls them back which is frustrating. Also, if the customer calls again, the recorded message says NOT to leave another message as this "slows down the process." The staff member who called me back late that day indicated that she did not know if the medication would be ready the next day. I ended up calling Preckshot Pharmacy. They called Alwan, transferred the prescription and I had it in my hands in 2 hours. If I'd started with Preckshot
