My review is based on my first impression when I called to get some more information on the hotel, specifically regarding concierge services. The gentleman I spoke with kept repeating himself "Sir, this is an 8 room hotel" in an irritated tone when asked if they have a concierge to secure reservations at Atlanta's most in-demand restaurants. How unreasonable of me to think that a B & B which charges over $400 a night and markets itself as a luxury property would help its guests secure reservations. My new husband and I had a small, intimate wedding at Stonehurst Place. John and Grace made our special day amazing. The cake, bouquet, boutonnière and room they provided were amazing. And, I can’t say enough about the breakfast the next morning. They even accommodated our vegan and vegetarian preferences. They treated us like family. I highly recommend.

I couldn't say enough nice things about this Bed and Breakfast! I am a photographer so I didn't stay overnight, but I wanted to leave a review from my point of view. Upon arriving John, the owner, was hospitable, warm, and friendly. He gave my friend and I a tour of the property, which was most impressive and decorated with art, history and books which he was kind enough to go into detail about their significance to the home. The most amazing bed & breakfast. Rare art featured inside as well as anything more (books, magazines, paintings,etc) an art lover could hope for. John and Grace run the b&b and their attention for detail along with Grace’s scrumptious breakfast and homemade pastries were stellar. The rooms were so clean as well as very comfortable beds with the freshest of sheets —they smelled amazing. I was lucky to have some downtime to explore the house and I still felt as if there was something I didn’t see each time I left and came back. 10/10 would recommend and definitely stay again.

I went here on a book tour 4 years ago. We stayed 2 glorious nights. It's on a big hill but we were able to drive up the driveway and park in the lot in back. Our suite was on the first floor with a full shower with a seat and a jacuzzi. Very special sheets on a high bed. I was able to check out the empty rooms upstairs. So the breakfast was amazing and they offered desserts on the buffet at night. This spot is near great restaurants. An Irish pub the first night and Italian the second. A great breakfast spot that is the place to see and be seen. All these within walking distance for everybody

A few notes that come to mind are impeccable attention to detail provided by the hosts and staff and amenities well beyond expectation. We decided to treat ourselves to a night at the Stonehurst Place when we were in town for a concert. I knew of the place from visiting friends from TX staying their a couple of years ago. We stayed in the Master Suite which was spacious, well appointed, and beautifully decorated and furnished. I love love love Stonehurst Place! My boyfriend and I stayed in the Piedmont room last night while staying in Atlanta on our way to North Carolina. The managers, Grace and John were extremely kind, sweet, fun, and welcoming and they shared with us the interesting history of Stonehurst. This is, without question, the best hotel I have ever stayed in. Wow, where to start... This is a six bedroom hotel, steeped in history. I cannot do the story justice, but a classic historic building renovated to the highest standard. Its beautiful and it's real, the furniture is all original, there are several works of art. The architecture is masterful with beautiful lounges scattered front and back, upstairs and downstairs.

I feel conflicted about this 3 star rating. Although the customer service was superb, the room that I reserved left something to be desired for the $400 that it cost. My wife and I were visiting for our 2 year anniversary and I reserved the most expensive room because of the added bonus of the fireplace. When we got there however, the fireplaces were down for the season which was not listed on the website. There were also some pretty obvious stains and a few flying insects in our room and curtains that were so difficult to close that our hostess even mentioned it.

Well first off this place will forever hold a special memory in our lives. My husband Ross and I were lucky enough to have our wedding at this beautiful house. From the moment we walked in we knew this was the place..it was the first and only place we viewed. The staff and Barb took such great care of us and our guests. We rented the home out for the weekend but wish we could have rented it for the week.
I can not wait to return for a nice stay and reminisce on our special day. Thank you so much for the wonderful memories
