My name is Amanda Miles, but some people call me Mandy. I'm a lifestyle portrait photographer based in Richmond, Virginia. I am an easy going mother of three sweet and wild boys, wife to a vegetable farmer, a homeschooling mom, and a portrait photographer.
I'm always exploring new interests like taking classes on-line, doing a 30 day yoga challenge, trying recipes from the Great British Baking Show, mountain biking very slowly, reading adventure books with my kids, creating watercolor cards, sipping sugary coffee, and listening to This American Life.Common feedback that I get immediately after sessions is, "That was so easy!" and I am thrilled when I hear that.

Amanda did a wonderful job taking my daughter’s Senior portraits. She provided great advice on possible locations, outfits, poses, and put my daughter right at ease. We worked with Amanda for a newborn lifestyle shoot at our home. Amanda took my daughter's professional actor head shots and we could not be happier! She sent us suggestions and tips before the appointment and was very communicative and helpful. When onsite she spent time talking with her, getting to know her personality, encouraging her to try different poses, and letting her be herself - and it really shows in the photos she captured! The only problem was choosing the photos because they were all so wonderful! Highly recommend!
