Fried cutlets topped with a blend of diced tomatoes, red onion, mozzarella cheese, fresh basil and olive oil. A perfect marriage of flavors, chicken, prosciutto and melted provolone cheese in a brandy demo-glaze. This used to be our go-to place. I always order the spaghetti bolognese, and my husband and kids chicken parm entrees, heroes, shrimp parm, pizzas, variety of entrees on the menu. We have lived in the neighborhood for 24 years. It bothers me that one of our neighborhood restaurants have seriously gone down-hill. Not sure if there has been a change in management, but the food has taken a real turn for the worse. Won't be ordering from here anytime soon, and will miss my go-to dish. The people behind the counter are stellar!
My card kept getting declined for some reason been working all day the owner saw that and even having been a first time customer told me to get him next time!?!

I don't like to complain, but I wanted to share to hopefully have the owners aware...
When we walked in we saw two other guests seated. We stood at the host desk which had noone there. I noticed a server setting tables and when he turned to us he immediately looked down. Odd. About 10 minutes later one of the pizza makers asked if we had been helped. She went back and had someone help us. The same person setting tables continued for about another 5 minutes until he came up to seat us at a table that wasn't set..
Our server was very pleasant. (The owners sister)

Been coming here for years, on occasions, with a group of ladies. Everything is exceptional from the service to the food. They have always gone out of their way to make sure we have a great dinner. The food is some of the best around! Even the gratis bread with the olive oil dip for starters is delicious. Recently had some Osso Bocco, fall off the bone tender. Generous glasses of wine! Highly recommend.

Traveling through, and found this restaurant on Google. We’re from Brooklyn/Staten Island and very spoiled by great Italian restaurants close to home. We weren’t sure what to expect at Medford Pastaria, on a dark road in the back of a strip mall. Stepping inside, we were impressed at first sight. A large mural depicting an Italian village encompassed half the dining room. The menu covered all you could expect from a fine Italian restaurant. My wife asked for her favorite dish, linguine with white clam sauce and added shrimp, which was not on the menu but they gladly made. I ordered a parmigiana

Come on guys, lol. I have been ordering here since 2005, and I have always raved about the food and loved it. But I was a little disappointed tonight with the burnt eggplant rollatini that was delivered. The cook clearly didn't care and still sent it out? I would've preferred to just wait for them to make it again.

Ok I'm impressed. I think maybe this place got a new cook or something. Not that the food was ever bad, it just tasted BETTER this time. Ordered a chicken parm hero with extra sauce on the side and a chicken Cesar wrap that came with fries. Both things were great. The fries were hand cut and the best I've had yet. The hero had plenty of chicken, the sauce was delicious, and they put a TON of cheese on it. Not sure if an improvement has been made, (I noticed the menu online looks a little different)but keep it up please! We will definitely be back!

Normally I let one or two bad experiences go, but Medford Pastaria is clearly a sinking ship. The short version is this: the prices have been jacked and the quality & service is not what we have come to expect. My family has been ordering takeout from this establishment for like 20 years and we frequently eat out here as well.

The food is usually good but the service is terrible. Order food in advance and the woman that answered the phone answered with an attitude as if she were bothered i was calling in an order, get there and it's not even ready. Not one bit of consideration for the customer. I'd rather go down the street to pizza corner or La Margherita which provide much friendlier service and have the orders ready to go in a matter of minutes

I stopped going to Pizza Corner in Medford because in the 5 year I've lived here twice they made a mistake on my order and tried to blame me.
Tonight I ordered from Medford Pastaria they forgot my toppings. They said sorry offered to fix it and offered to add on to my order. Thank you! I will be back.

Not only is the deal of 10 home cooked Italian dishes for $50 a great deal but they included mussels which are my favorite and were so good I wish I took 2 dishes of it. The sauce is thick with garlic and whole tomatoes and I wanted to lick the bowl. They are definitely worth the drive from Selden. I will be back

Good food great polite service clean place the bread and oil was hot fresh baked. The appetizer fried calamari was soft and crunchy, with fresh tomatoes in the sauce, i had the pasta in clams sauce and it was the best, the clams were fresh and tasty, the pasta was very good with the garlic and tomatoes outstanding presentation. The sangria was exceptional, the dessert was awesome lava cake and ice cream, i can not atop talking about the good food at this place they have a bar two fish tanks i recommend you take a drive out east and experience it for your self. The Pastaria has been a staple in the local community for as long as I can remember. The food is usually always good, but this place isn't ALWAYS persistent. The specialty slices are sometimes amazing and sometimes terrible..depends on the chef I suppose.
The pasta dishes are always very good, pasta night specialties are a great value. The salmon bruschetta dish was not something I'd get again though. The garlic knots have never been very good (we always get them but always regret it). The salads are usually good as well.
