This was not our first time working with Rafael floors but the first time for a refinishing job. Owner Steve was very easy to work with; came to our home in a timely manner to check out the job, measure etc. Since I was concerned that refinishing might not work for the engineered floor he came back with his long-time refinisher and they determined that there would be enough wood for one time refinishing. I wouldn't have trusted the job to just anyone; a little too much sanding and you'd hit the subfloor. But given the Sander's experience, I felt confident. The price was the best of three places

Rafael Floors was recommended to me from my realtor and I’m glad to have found them. Their prices were competitive compared to other vendors in the area. Jennifer helped walk me through different types of flooring, and Steve was incredibly knowledgeable and easy to work with, especially to get a price that worked for our budget. He kept us updated on the expected delivery of our hardwood floors and helped manage an issue when some boxes arrived damaged. I would not support this business! The owner of San Rafael Floors, Steve Villa, hired someone that is not licensed to drive, yet allowed him to use a company vehicle. This speaks volumes on his ethics and values. Because he allowed his employee without a Drivers License to drive his company vehicle, I am dealing with a nightmare accident claim. The DL produced at the scene and only one he has issued was from El Salvador (date on DL 2009) and proof of insurance for San Rafael Floor truck was expired 2013). CHP and police refused to come because there were no injuries or hazards blocking the road

I had wood floors in three bedrooms and a hallway redone by Rafael Floors and couldn't be more pleased. They also added new flooring to a bedroom and it matched the current flooring flawlessly. They moved my furniture out and back in again and made it all look easy. I am very happy with their work, Jack's estimation and insights about my floors and glad to recommend them to all.

This is going to sound like an advertisement but that’s because they did everything right. The store is easy to navigate and I didn’t have to go looking for someone who worked in the flooring department for help or risk talking to someone who normally sells paint. The sales people were helpful but not intrusive and at least on the items we looked at, the prices were very clear, comparable to other places we had shopped, and included the price of installation.
