As soon as we walked in our stylist turned the TV. It was very loud and she put on a show that we prefer our 2 year old not to watch. I asked if she would turn the tv off and she said "I'll turn it down but I'm not turning it off" - I was shocked. I told her we don't allow him to watch that and she aggressively asked me if he was going to sit still. The show wasn't really the issue but we watch enough tv and we are trying our best to teach patience and not the need to be staring at a screen to sit still. She turned it off and he sat still while she cut his hair. She spent about 7 minutes and we

TL;DR This salon advertises a special haircut for a kids first cut (at a high price I would add) and what they provide is whatever service will rapidly get a client out of their chair (good or bad) in time for their next appointment in 15 minutes. If you have anything that will take longer (even if its because of their poor quality work) they will condescendingly treat you like youre being unreasonable until you leave in tears with your poor child looking foolish.
This was our second visit to this salon. Our first was not quite up to expectation but as we had heard such good things we decided

I have taken my son here for about 6 months, and previous appointments went well. The past appointment was very different. The hair stylist was passive aggressive and short from the moment we arrived. My son didn’t want to sit in the chair alone, but she told me I couldn’t sit with him. As he was crying and trying to get out, she told me to sit down and she tried to force him into the booster. When I told her that we wouldn’t do that, she allowed me to hold him but proceeded to make passive aggressive comments and took a total of 8 minutes to cut his hair. It was so poorly done that I took

We had a really great experience today with Meghan. I took my one year old for his first haircut. I chose this place because they work with babies and kids all day, every day. I was really pleased when I arrived and found that each stylist works in their own room outfitted with a TV (with the perfect kids' Netflix channels), a nice chair and, if necessary, a Bumbo seat. Meghan took a before picture and offered that if I wanted to hold him while she cut, I could. I chose to have him in the seat while I fed him the Cheerios I brought with me. While my little guy unfortunately cried all the way

We love Laura at Hair Cuts for peanuts! I love that I can schedule an appointment right from my phone on Google and they have plenty of distractions for the kids so they can get their job done. Laura is wonderful with my now 2 and 4 year old and we have been coming ever since their first hair cuts. Highly recommend! Definitely worth the price.

I'm pretty disappointed. I went in for my son's first haircut because the back was long and scraggly and he needed a trim around the ears. I showed the stylist pictures of what I wanted it to look like and told her from the beginning that I wanted to leave the top long and that I liked the top as it was. She trimmed the front and asked if I wanted it shorter and I said no that's just fine where it is, wanted the top longer because I like it how it is. Then she pulls the top of his hair up and starts snipping saying I'll notice the difference now. I was like Whaaaaa?! I withheld

I have been taking the kids here for about 10 years, starting with the location on High Street in Fairport Village which moved to Perinton Square a few years ago. I am not sure what other places charge as it is the only place I have ever taken them and I'm completely bald! But for the social interaction alone I think it is worth it. I have only ever been seen by Aprile, the owner, who is genuine and welcoming. The boys' cuts always come out great and I have never had a reason to complain. I think they are THE place to get your kids' cuts, at least on the eastside of the Rochester

I took my daughter here for her first time. She actually was about 7 at the time (this was a while ago). I wanted just some simple layers for the summer. The staff was friendly, the waiting room was very child oriented. There was a tv in the room where she got her haircut, and the woman was very nice. However, I noticed when she was done, that not much had changed about the cut. Maybe being a younger Children's hair salon, knowing how to do layers and such isn't required??? She did the normal front hair angle cut a little bit, but that was it. The rest of the hair was just sprayed with

I have been taking my 3 1/2 year old to this place since his very first haircut and have always had a great experience. I prefer Aprile, I think she is also the owner. The first time I went for his "first haircut" and he was a SCREAMING MESS, but they were soooo patient and fast, fast, fast. They have booster seats so your kid can sit up high, they have TV's in front of the chairs and will put on whatever your kid watches. This helps distract them. They have a great waiting room FULL of toys, in fact, we always go about 10 minutes early so he can play and adjust. They have a popcorn

This is the third time we have taken our three year old, Rocco here. The place is super kid friendly with a ton of toys to keep them busy in the waiting area. They have tv's for your little ones to watch while they are in the chair to keep them occupied. They are all very patient and friendly with the kids and also do a great job cutting hair. The only drawback I will say is it is a tad pricey. It's $15 for a kid haircut but can understand why they charge that much. I'm a fan and will keep coming back. When they are finished with their haircut they get free popcorn and a balloon

After reading the terrible review posted earlier, I just have to say that we love Krystal at Haircuts for Peanuts. She is absolutely the sweetest person in the world and really really good to the kids- she speaks to them directly and asks them personal questions and never seems to be rushing, even though the actual appointment times are short (as compared to adult cuts). I have never heard any employee trashing any child or anyone else. Also, I must say, i have two kids and try to be pretty sensitive to others but I have definitely used the term brat myself before to describe my kids behavior

Do not go here!
What is so upsetting is that i personally know these workers! I actually serviced all of them because i too am in cosmetology!
April older blonde hair is the owner, then her daughter, then Meghan and Vanessa.
Brenda is the only one i liked but quit, she was the receptionist.. I brought my son for a haircut and they cut his ear! He was bleeding and she just brushed it off and told me it happened all the time. What!!!??? Are you kidding me!! Never even said sorry.
I dont know if she thought it was ok because they knew me but that was not ok! Not only that, what kind of owner would
