While HCLA provides snack twice a day, students do bring their own lunches. Our lunch period begins at 12:00 for Preschool Prep-Pre-K and at 11:45 for TK and Kindergarten. If your child stays past 1:00 (with the exception of Kindergartners), they will be napping. We provide nap mats, a quiet and comfortable dark room, relaxing music, back rubs, and stories to those friends napping.
In addition to our school-wide annual pumpkin patch field trip, our TK/K class goes on many additional outings. We bring several experiences to our school, including petting zoos, exotic animal experiences, science fairs, nature exploration days, and recycling art days.

I taught Kindergarten and TK for seven years before coming here to teach the two year old program at Holy Cross. I absolutely love being a teacher to the two year olds. My co-teachers and I love working together to make the most of this program so each child can grow individually and as a community.
I am Ms. Anna. I am on the Pre-K team here at Holy Cross Lutheran Academy and have been here since 2011. I had a licensed daycare for thirteen years and taught preschool before that. My husband and I have been married for thirty-three years this June! We live in Roseville and have been blessed with four children and five grandchildren with one more on the way!
I was born and raised in a small town in beautiful Minnesota. After I graduated from college with a major in Elementary Education and a minor in Special Education I took a leap of faith, accepted a teaching position and moved to California. The plan was to stay for one year. However, my short stay has now been a surprising thirty years.
Holy Cross Lutheran Academy offers many extracurricular activities during your child's school day. These activities include:. Music occurs once a week (Tuesday or Thursdays) with our music and library teacher Ms. Pat. Children are introduced to a variety of instruments such as piano, violin, and the bagpipes through special guest visitors and have the opportunity each week to learn songs that accompany Ms. Pat's piano playing.
Holy Cross Lutheran Academy staff distinguishes itself by infusing their students with the love of Christ. Christ's love is reflected in our student-teacher interactions, philosophy of teaching, and the use of Christian curriculum. Our students are introduced to God through Bible stories, engage in chapel time with the Pastor, and experience Christ's love through their growing relationships with teachers and peers.

Not a fan of our experience there at all! There was poor communication, unrealistic expectations for my 5 year old and a terrible punitive environment where my child was isolated, singled out and simply not treated in a manner I felt comfortable with. I also felt disrespected, undermined and dismissed. The drop off and pick up is a nightmare taking up to 30 minutes. There is no regard for your time in the morning yet staff feels entitled to call out the most silly things. For example...they lost my daughter's sheet and blanket then charged me for her to use theirs and ignored my requests to

My daughter has attended HCLA for four years!!! She graduated from the kindergarten program this spring and Words cannot describe how incredible this school has been! The teachers are phenomenal and these children are in wonderful hands. My youngest will be attending in summer of next year and we cannot wait!!

We love Holy Cross preschool! The teachers create a wonderfully loving environment where my son has flourished. The campus is clean, and secure which is a big priority for me. The teachers are all top notch and really make every child feel special and loved. My child enters kindergarten next year and I feel he will be more than ready. Truly love this school!!

I cannot say enough about how wonderful this school is. My daughter has been in pre-k this school year. From day one, she has been hooked!
The school is clean and well cared for. The staff is absolutely amazing! Each staff member and teacher is caring and patient, yet firm. As a working mother, this is the best place I could hope for to put my child for the day. I know my child is happy and thriving.
Another great thing is that the class sizes are very small, so each child gets a lot of attention. I definitely recommend HC to anyone looking for an amazing place for their children.

If you are looking for a loving, safe, fun, friendly, clean, stimulating, Christian environment for your children, look no further. Holy Cross is a special place! I am a mom of 7 and have been sending my kids here since 2011. Ms. Chris, the director, is a loving, joyful, highly-competent and gifted woman. We have had two children at HCLA and could not be happier with our experience so far. Kids have a blast learning from their loving, caring and qualified teachers/staff. Thank you Ms. Lori, Darla, Octavia and Chris for all that you have done to enrich our kiddos learning experience thus far.

My daughter absolutely loves her teacher last year and this year. She will be sad to go to public school next year! I'm so glad she's had such an amazing experience at this pre school! I honestly can not say enough how comfortable I am with my daughter at holy cross, the friends she and my husband and I have made, and the little projects and things she have learned are truly memories I will cherish forever. I Went To Almost Every Pre-School In Rocklin But Not Only The Staff There Are Friendly, They Are All Super Professional Too. It Is A Blessing To Find A Great School For My 2 Year Old. Chris The Director Is A Down To Earth And Very Humble Individual. Also What Else Is Cool 1:6 Ratio Teacher/Student. That Is Awesome Which Means They Will Pay A Lot More Attention To Our Kids. Most Schools In The Rocklin Area Is 1:12 Ratio Teacher/Student.

We have our twins enrolled at Holy Cross and are SO happy with the place. Ms. Chris, the principal is fantastic - she knows what she is doing! She knows the kids names and their parents, and is clearly dedicated to helping these kids mature and grow and turn into responsible successful people.

The best director, teachers, and staff. They are all caring, warm, loving, so so kind, and all about making sure each child flourishes and grows academically and spiritually. I love that they also instill morals and beliefs that the public system cannot. My son has grown leaps and bounds in just 2 1/2 months. I am so excited to see how he grows academically throughout the school year. We feel so blessed to have found Holy Cross.

My oldest daughter has been going to Holy Cross Preschool for over 2 years. This is the best preschool around. My youngest started going when she turned two. We absolutely love it. The teachers & principal are amazing and truley care about my children. This is definitely a hidden gem tucked away in a small town where family values still exist. Where teachers still care and hold children accountable. Where respect for others is instilled. Holy Cross Preschool was a Godsend to us. We are a military family who got transferred to the Sacramento area for just a brief moment in time.
