Aikido training for young children focuses on developing their balance and sense of awareness; recognizing and coordinating their movements. The Princeton Aikikai doors opened in February of 2002, in Princeton, NJ, under the leadership of Mr. Numata, coming directly from Japan. Masashi Numata Sensei, native to Japan, moved to the USA with his family in 2001.

With years of Aikido background, he brings a cultural and traditional sense to The Art of Aikido. Marie Mockers Numata Sensei, with years of Aikido training in Japan and teaching experience brings a multicultural understanding of Aikido practice. Children, teens and adult classes are offered. We have a unique combination of all ages and belt levels working out on the mat, helping each other to better understand how to practice Aikido.
Services
Aikido is for everybody, from the age of 6 on up, regardless of gender, religion or cultural background. As O-Sensei said: "If you have a body, you can train it!" Affiliations: The Princeton Aikikai is affiliated to the United State Aikido Federation (USAF), which is affiliated to the Aikido World Headquarters in Tokyo, Japan.
Over 20 years of teaching experience grades K-12 (French & English as a Second Language and sciences). Help your children gain basic skills in the French language prior to entering middle school.

Due to a lack of the French language offered in the Princeton Public School System at an early age in grades K-5, a native French speaker, mother and teacher living in Princeton is offering after school French private or group classes to K-5 grade level students.Marie Mockers Numata is an experienced K-12 teacher in sciences, French and ESL.
Blazer earned two Grand Champion Titles (MACH 1 & 2). This year, Blazer (9 years old) proudly retired from the AKC agility trial competitions. While many people had given up on this dog, I never did. He has been an amazing sport partner to me, a teacher and a best friend.

Without a disciplined setting and an outlet for his high energy needs and intellectual development (Border Collies are very smart dogs), Blazer would probably have been constantly re-homed or ended up at a kill shelter. But with consistency, proper training and love, Blazer went on becoming a champion!
