I own an insurance agency. On my client's first attempt to access his car (only to recover his personal effects), he was denied access and was told by a Mace's representative that ALL he needed was a claim number from the insurance company. When he came back a day later with the claim number, he was still not allowed access to his vehicle until the insurance company contacted Mace to verify they were paying for the storage charges, AND he had to show proof of his own insurance (which was in the vehicle that Mace was holding hostage). Terrible experience. I had my car towed from a parking lot by them and it was a hustle getting it back. They were already rude on the phone. I went there to release the car and the girl at the door was very rude and ignorant. They charged me an arm and a leg for the car being there 5 days, $375. I asked to speak to the manager and the girl was rude about it. The manager was also very rude. I was on seeing where one of their drivers was picking up a 18 wheeler the tow truck driver ramed the truck he was tow into trees. The 18 wheel driver was trying to shut his open door when the tow truck driver took off. The driver was calling the customer the n word and begin rude. Making comments the his 60 thousand truck was worth more than the customer and he knew what he was doing

I live in topeka ks and one of there trucks hit me from behind and didn't stop kept going, I had to speed to catch the truck to get a number and tag number and when I call and explain in detail about what happened to the owner,he says he will take care of it, the reach back out and he went ghost on me. I need to get his company insurance information and get no answers back. Next step is bbb then a lawyer.

This company is a joke, involved in car accident with severe injuries but they are demanding $155.00 to get belongings from vehicle. I am the mother of the owner who was injured and they said I could sign a release of vehicle but could not get belongings from vehicle. How STUPID that you charge the victim!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Would never recommend this company and hate they were contacted for the PST that took the report...…….

My husband called for a tow at 8am. He provided the address for both pickup and drop off locations and was given a quote of $150. He was then told it would be about 3 hours. After 3.5 hours we called to follow-up and the employee stated that there was no order in place. He first said that he was never given an address. Then after he was corrected he said that my husband hung up after receiving the price quote.
Now the second lie contradicts the first lie. How would he get a quote if he never gave an address? We waited 3 hours in the rain with 2 toddlers just to have to call another company.

Traveling north on the 55, I pulled off to the side of the road to text my employer. Little did I know, an evening downpour kept my tires from gaining traction, and then... Stuck! Joe from Mace's was roadside helping me out of my jam in an hour, and had me rolling in just over two. Thank you Joe, and Mace's.

Warning!!!!! please do not call this company for towing!!!! my belongings was missing in the front of my truck and all my items had been rambled through. not to mention the insides were locked. the lady who i ask to filed a complaint with was not helpful and said they took pictures when i ask why was someone inside the vehicle and how they got in she said for damage purpose and never said how they got in. i ask to see the pictures and she would not help. i really hope some kind of investigation is done and this place is shut down. if i could i would give them negative 5 stars.

Mace's Heavy Duty towing was very professional taking our calls trying to assess the type of equipment to send to tow our 36 ft RV (5th wheel) from the KOA in Marion / West Memphis to Olive Branch, MS for repair. David showed up in a big, beautiful blue truck and he quickly got to work stabilizing our camper for the ride. He did a fabulous job! The towing was expensive, as expected from a place that operates even at the latest of hours but the mechanic service was an absolute rip off. I paid 210 dollars for them to "fix a short in a wire" I was told that this was all labor cost, no parts. The thing is, That wasn't even what was wrong with the car. It was the alternator. Thank heavens the battery had enough charge to get me back home where my trusted mechanic will be honest with me and charge reasonable prices.

Soooo- my car is a piece of junk (shout out to Nissan!) .. and I had to get it towed before I went in to work one day last week. I called the day prior and spoke to a very friendly lady so took down all the information and said someone would call me on their way to my house the next morning. Though I missed his call- the driver DID call on his way, and was promptly there when I had requested. Super nice man, was polite and told me he'd knock on my door to give me my receipt since it was reaaally cold that morning. Overall a great experience considering the circumstances, I would recommend

I think Mace's Towing is the most prompt reliable tow service for emergencies in the Memphis area. The owner works hard and is a great example for his workers to follow and built this business from ground up from hard work. There is a mechanic shop, paint, and body shop of the car needs repair as well. A one stop shop for auto emergencies.
