Services
I have had a varied career as a yoga therapist, yoga teacher, retreat leader, and counselor. In my work, I strive to help people learn how to reduce stress & anxiety, ease chronic pain, and find a path towards happiness and healing. Whether it is through my classes, workshops, retreats, private sessions, or counseling work, I enjoy helping others find a sense of wholeness, balance, and equanimity in their lives.
The International Association of Yoga Therapy (IAYT) defines yoga therapy as, "the process of empowering individuals to progress toward improved health and well-being through the application of the teachings and practices of Yoga." Yoga Therapy is an integrative and holistic practice that is tailored specifically for the individual.
Unfortunately, today's work environment is often filled with stressful situations. It is not uncommon for employees to be overwhelmed with long hours and commutes, demanding deadlines, office politics, and a sedentary lifestyle. Many employees lose valuable amounts of work time due to common cold, low back pain, migraines, carpel tunnel syndrome, and simple burnout.
Not only are retreats and workshops relaxing and fun, they can be incredibly healing and transformative. Sometimes we need to step away from the hustle and bustle of our daily lives in order to recharge our batteries and gain perspective. On top of that, many people make long-lasting friendships on retreats as they bond with like-minded people.
Take a nourishing break from the holiday hustle and bustle with a restorative mini-retreat that includes Kundalini Yoga, Yoga Nidra, and sound healing. This workshop is perfect for students of all levels of practice. Please bring a pillow from home, if you'd like. Blankets, bolsters and blocks will be provided.

I've had the pleasure of taking classes from Lauren both at Karuna Yoga and also while she taught at my own yoga studio, Chakra 5. She is always prompt and professional and was well-loved by our customers. I also received some supplemental teacher training from Lauren in meditation/kriyas for the Chakras. Lauren's many years of experience and skill really show. She has grounded and sensible class sequences and a keen eye for form. Her students' safety and form are paramount in her mind. I love her soothing instructional tone, her inspirational bits of philosophy, deep knowledge
