Established in 1976, Stepping Stone Preschool provides children with a social and academic experience in a play based developmentally appropriate environment. Stepping Stone Preschool maintains low teacher child rations of 1:8 among all age group and offer both full time as well as flexible part time schedules.
Stepping Stone provides an environment of warmth and trust where play leads to building self-esteem, problem solving, creativity and social skills. Our indoor area and our outdoor playground allow maximum development for large and small muscle control, provide space for quiet play and allow the child's imagination to create his/her own form of play.

Services
At Stepping Stone, Children Are divided into groups of eight for class time. Both structured and unstructured activities are offered during the day. A child gains a sense of security in a structured environment while unstructured activities develop independence and individuality. Both are an important part of the daily program.
First and foremost, I would like to say that I am so happy and impressed with Stepping Stone. Like most parents, I did a lot of research and tours of different preschools throughout the Bay Area. Of all the options, Stepping Stone was my first choice and it was just a matter of waiting for an opening (definitely a good sign if the school is full!).
