Dan Nichols started the company in 1971 and his designs have won accolades in both the commercial and residential sectors. Mike Halloran has been with the company since 1981, his hands on experience make project management second nature. Many of our staff have been with us between 10 and 20 years, all experienced in stone masonry, handling of large materials including boulders and trees, and all facets of landscape installation.

We are a complete design/build landscape company. We have more than 40 years' experience in design and installation of all phases of your landscape. We will be happy to design for you a landscape of any scope that can include hardscaping, trees, shrubs and perennials of any kind or size. We believe that although we are a small company, we have the resources, experience, and know how, to work with you in a way that you get the landscaping that you have envisioned, that works.
Use planters or window boxes for your deck railings, or entry to your home. When planting annuals, always use a light planting media, that will hold water and fertilizer longer. No need for heavy top soil, that's for sure! When planting in window boxes, or containers, remember to put some aggregates in the bottom, and separate with a permeable landscape type cloth.
Here you can see just a few examples of our commercial and residential water effects. It's amazing how the sound of water can relax you while sitting in your garden. We do ponds of all different sizes and configurations, waterfalls, creek effects, you name it. We designed this site, with a small sitting patio, so the client can enjoy a waterfall, with an echo-chamber pond; flowing into creek effects, into a larger pond with aquatics and fish.
We have many clients in both the commercial and residential sector. We have designed and installed healing gardens for many of the biggest local hospitals, in Washington D.C. and Maryland.
