This client's dream home incorporated the extensive use of Insulated Concrete Forms (ICF) with the use of concrete floors for long-lasting, energy-efficient comfort. Open floor plans necessitated the use of carrier beams to support vertically discontinuous walls. Due to the challenges with expansive, poor soils, the home is supported on piers and a post-tensioned slab (not constructed by Coombs Engineering).

We used Coombs Engineering when we had concerns over the quality of our new construction which included framing/foundation. Jerry is very thorough and walked us through each aspect of his findings. We were able to use his reporting to go back to the builder and come up with a reasonable solution. I would highly recommend his services and will be using on any additional structural concerns we have.

I've used Coombs Engineering for multiple projects over the past 10 years. Everything from a large ICF home, to a swimming pool, gazebo and other structures. My company has been using Coombs Engineering for years.
