I applied for a job here and was located in Boston. I let them know that I am willing to relocate to NYC if I end up getting the job. They expected me to move there first before moving forward. They were not considerate that it made no sense for me to move there if I didn't have the job since I was willing to relocate in any city based on the opportunity. I was told that I should move there first and then apply for jobs. When I tried conversing about the fact that I will relocate I was told rudely that they don't want any emails further on this matter as if it became a big issue.
