Scott Kuehne and John Suarez have over 54 years of collective professional experience, 48 of those years as licensed architects. SKA performs a range of architectural services on residential, commercial, and university projects. This range of projects is an important principle of our practice and brings a level of sophistication and organization to our residential scale projects which many of our competitors do not possess.
What sustainability refers to is a very old and very simple concept - the ability to keep going over the long haul. As a value, it refers to giving equal weight in your decisions to the future as well as the present. You might think of it as extending the Golden Rule through time, so that you do unto future generations (as well as your present fellow beings) as you would have them do unto you.
Community service is an essential component in the foundation of our firm. The partners have a strong commitment to allocating personal as well as firm resources, professional knowledge and financial support to various community organizations. After a three year term on the Vestry at St Johns in Ross, Scott remains on the Buildings and Grounds Committee overseeing the work resulting from a recent capital/building campaign.
Suarez-Kuehne Architecture has enjoyed performing architectural services in numerous locations in California and beyond. In order to prevent burdening projects where we are not as familiar with local codes, ordinances, and procedures, we invest our own time to familiarize ourselves with the particulars of new jurisdictions.
