Tomo Sushi & Grill Restaurant was the first Fusion Japanese & Korean restaurant in Centreville when we opened in 2005. Since then, word has spread about the delights of our authentic Japanese cuisine and we are now proud to welcome many hundreds of loyal customers. Many of our restaurant patrons are long-time, enthusiastic fans of Tomo Sushi & Grill Restaurant, and many of them know each other's names and talk with each other at the tables.

Extremely Impatient, Rude Waitress (The one with long hair), food was mediocre but ok. On 12/12/21 (Sunday) 8pm I visited restaurant with my group. We needed one more water cup. I walked up to front and asked a waitress some water. She gave me a water bottle instead of a glass of water. So I asked for a water bottle. With big fake smile, she walked back and grabbed water cup. I found she did not bring a straw. Since the glass of water wasn't for me, I asked for a straw for hygiene purposes. Her BIG FAKE SMILE TURNED INTO UGLY DEMON'S FACE. She was FURIOUS and OUTRAGEOUT... YELLING AT ME... "SIGH

It is not open until 2:00am. We arrived with a group of people hoping for late night food and it was closed. It actually closes at 10:30pm, according to the sign on the door.
Update: I ended up going later in the week while it was open. The food was 10/10, they gave us miso soup and salad even though we just order appetizers, they have a large selection of beer, sake and plum wine.
They are understaffed but that’s not the waiters fault. Over all, I’m giving it 5 stars. The decor was also nice. Would be a great first date spot.
(PS: I don’t remember if the resturant is handicapped accessible

When walking in the business was slow so I was apprehensive. Upon sitting down we were served drinks immediately. There was a bell by our table so when we were ready to order they immediately came to our service. I order a specialty sushi, the beef wontons, and the fried pork. The serving sizes were big and filling. Everything was crispy and cooked to perfection. The servers were quick and very kind. I would highly recommend and will be going back.

Omg! This place is amazing. I wasn't a fan of sushi AT ALL until I came here for the first time with some friends. Sushi...amazing...hibachi....amazing! Plus, the people that work there are so loving and sweet. It is 100% a hidden gem as it's located off to a corner but I would definitely recommend giving this place a chance.

I have yet to try anything I don't like here. I feel like they have a big selection of dishes to choose from and you can't go wrong with any! I got the seafood kalguksoo and galbi dolsot bibimbap this time. The kalguksoo was great with a good ratio of seafood/misc. contents and noodles. Soo filling and I couldn't even finish! The galbi dolsot was amazing too. I personally liked galbi dolsot more than seafood dolsot.
I highly recommend this restaurant if you haven't yet tried it out! Other foods I like here are: shrimp fried rice (hibachi), jjampong udon, green onion chicken

Been here a few times and this place is okay. They have sushi, habachi, and ramen that overall isn't too pricy and can satisfy when there are a bunch of people in your party. This time it was just two of us. There were a lot of people dining in and between that, the phone orders, and seating people, the 3 servers were super busy. Service was definitely lacking- took over 5 min to acknowledge us at the door, 10-15min before they took our order, my water glass was never refilled, and after we got our food, they only came by to give us our check. To Tomo, please consider hiring more staff! It

Our all-time favorite sushi spot! Tomo always knocks it out of the park with quick service, a great menu, and of course, delicious food!
I can honestly say I have never had a bad meal here. The sushi menu is full of favorites for everyone and there is always something new to try. I have noticed recently they have updated some of their offerings and now have ramen too (can't wait to try it!). It's great to come here and try their sake, too.
We always dine in but their takeout appears to be popular as well. We normally will order sushi and an entree to share - highly recommend it!

Decent food - did take out here. Unfortunately, they were very busy and didn’t include our whole order together, missing the sushi combo. Only upside is they called to let us know, as we hadn’t realized yet and we drove back to get it.
Sushi was decent, with fish being relatively fresh. Sashimi cuts were poor. Gyoza was so so for me - not super flavorful. However, I would consider ordering the salmon lover combo again.

This place has everything! Due to Covid, I wasn’t able to dine in, but they seem to have private booths and somewhat large space for gathering. Their prices went up compared to menu posted by a reviewer 2 months ago, so here’s their latest menu.
Their food is overall pretty good, I definitely want to go back there once Covid is over and dine in.

I absolutely love when my sushi is just the right size and that is hard to find - also this place has such a nice variety of different sushi options with reasonable prices.
Definitely check it out and then go to karaoke in the same shopping center or dessert at Iron Ice.
I've been here multiple times and will continue coming

Very extensive menu from sushi, ramen, hibachi, udon soup, drunken noodles, etc.
Sushi is filling with a lovely amount of fish to rice ratio. Great specialty roll selection. We LOVED the double salmon roll and the pink lady rolls!!
Miso soup is so flavorful and yummy. Prices are incredibly decent for quality.
No desert menu (but they have fried cheesecake) a little under impressed that regardless the amount of times I told the servers we were there to celebrate a birthday THEY NEVER DID A THING or brought anything or sang. Found that odd.

This place has been around for several years. I think what was most appealing before the pandemic was the late hours. They still seem to be open pretty late. Decent sushi, although I admit not always the best made. Food is good with a variety of options. Recently we came for lunch and it was empty, just a bunch of pickup and delivery orders. We got the sushi and sashimi combo, shrimp tempura roll, yellow tail roll, tuna roll, and spider roll. Service was good. I think it's a consistent sushi spot for Centreville.

Best sushi can get for northern VA. Is the best I've had in my life? No. But is it in the top tier of sushi restaurants for all of Virginia? Yes! Only had sushi better one time in my life, and that was in a wealthy city right on the ocean front... So in comparison, this place was amazing. What's better? The prices! They are cheaper than their neighbors in centerville and fairfax, but their quality is the same if not better! Will return here many times! Atmosphere is cute too! They also don't scrimp on the ngiri sushi pieces! Their pieces of fish are PLUMP, their wasabi fresh, and their rice perfectly

We ordered sushi and fried rice and noodle dish . Our food was delivered via uber eats .
Sushi we ordered were kabuki Roll , salmon double roll , spicy tuna roll . We got vegetable fried rice and spicy seafood noodle .
The Sushi were ok . I wouldn't say it tasted great . Didn't tasted like freshly made.
Fried rice was bit dry . Not too bad .
Worst was the spicy seafood noodle dish . The clans were closed . Not open . They should have checked that before putting it in the container . Red spicy sauce was sweet and awful . One bite and gave up . Three small shrimp and three small squid

Stopped by for lunch. Tomo is tucked away behind the IHOP at the end of a shopping plaza that has a large amount of Asian restaurants. We ordered a tempura udon noodle soup. It was a large bowl and very good. I had a bulgogi beef hot pot. The pot came to the table sizzling. Had I put my hand on it I would have suffered severe burns. The pot continued to sizzle to the point that my rice burned to the bottom. I had to search for the meat in the dish and I wish it had more beef and less salad and rice. We also ordered sushi which was very good; spicy tuna and a spicy crab roll. Overall it was good
