Services
I have been offering massage therapy services in Petaluma, Sonoma County, Marin County, and throughout Northern California to people of all ages in the clinical, private practice, and spa environments since 2000. I earned my advanced certification as a therapist in Hendrickson Method so I could assist clients with acute and/or chronic joint conditions.
Hendrickson Method (HM) Manual Therapy treatments offer you optimal results with a series of sessions. Acute injuries, like sprains, strains, or whiplash typically feel better within four to six appointments. Chronic joint conditions, like frozen shoulder or arthritis, respond well to treatment over time.
Hendrickson Method Manual Therapy is a clinically proven system of treatment for the joints, nervous system, and soft tissue appropriate for people of all ages. It was created by Dr. Thomas Hendrickson, a Bay Area chiropractor specializing in musculoskeletal disorders and author of Massage and Manual Therapy for Orthopedic Conditions (LWW, 2009).
If you are new the massage therapy industry, or experienced and need some guidance, I can assist! Learn proven and effective traditional networking strategies, how to utilize social media, and cross-refer with health professionals and movement teachers to grow or maintain your practice. Our training and knowledge is extensive.
Physical injury is pretty much a given for professional athletes, and even for fitness enthusiasts in Petaluma, California. Bruises and strained muscles are common injuries that often resolve with rest and ice. However, there are more serious conditions that can develop due to joint misalignment, impact, and muscular patterns of dysfunction.

Positive: Professionalism
Amanda was easily the most professional and thoughtful massage therapist experience I've ever had. Her love for her work (craft) is obvious in every aspect of her business. 😊

Whether for speeding healing from an injury or regular tune-up, clearing and reinvigoration, I go to Amanda for therapeutic body work . She listens carefully and tailors each session to what help most at the time and is upbeat while being realistic. She also has given me tips/exercises to help healing after the session. So knowledgeable about anatomy and body mechanics with wisdom and training to draw on.

I'm so grateful for Amanda! After going to multiple physical therapists, a podiatrist and accupuncturist, I was still feeling pain in my ankle. I was introduced to Amanda and Hendrickson Method and it totally changed my life. Amanda is a great practitioner who does amazing body work and also gives exercises and recommendations to reduce pain between sessions. She usually comes to my house but I've also seen her at an office in downtown San Rafael. I can't recommend her more highly!

I recently had a session with Amanda and I have to say it was fantastic. I have had tennis elbow for several weeks. Amanda has worked on my arm twice and both times I had improvement. Following the most recent session I had noticeable improvement in my grip. I could actually squeeze a sponge!
I've been seeing Amanda for over 10 years. She has gained tremendous knowledge and expertise in the area of therapeutic massage. I highly recommend Amanda. Look at it this way you have nothing to lose and something to gain!

I am a bodywork junkie and always have a "stable" of practitioners on speed dial. Amanda is at the top of my list for relieving pain and restoring range of motion. The Hendrickson Method is NOT "let's get relaxed and pampered" kind of work...it is active, participatory, and does not always feel "good" in the moment (I am often sore afterwards) but the results are the most effective and long-lasting of ANY other bodywork I've had done.

When it comes to massage or bodywork I always have some trepidation about going to see someone new. I am sensitive to energy and therefore very particular about who I let touch me. Thankfully, my experience with Amanda was fantastic. She is very professional and highly skilled. In addition, she is so warm, kind and wonderful to be around. She has a great touch, and after the massage, I noticed for the next couple of days that I felt great, very clear and energized. Altogether a great experience, and I will be back soon to see Amanda.

I am recovering from a severe lower back strain, and I am delighted to have found Amanda! Through range of motion work and deep tissue massage, she has given me immediate relief and a flexibility in my hip joint and back I never dreamed possible. Added in is her guidance in seeking other modes of relief, including Pilates and Yoga, as well as basic core strengthening exercises that are safe.

Amanda as a person is caring and kind, encouraging, supportive and motivating. If you are looking for expert, knowledgeable and caring therapy and massage, look no further. You have arrived!

Amanda has helped me to recover from adhesive capsulitis, more generally known as "frozen shoulder." This condition is extremely painful and greatly restricts range of motion. Amanda, using the Hendrickson Method, has helped to bring my shoulder back to health.

Amanda has a wonderfully calming demeanor and really seems to love what she does. I highly recommend her services whether you want a spa massage or are in need of a more specialized healing technique due to injury or chronic pain.

For years I got a massage on every vacation that was appropriate to do so (and some that weren't). Some were good, some weren't, but it was always a special treat. However, 2.5 years ago I got into a bike accident hurt my back and massages became a necessity as opposed to a treat. In come Amanda! For therapeutic massage she is great. She may be good for relaxing too - I wouldn't know - but I'd walk in with a tight pained back and she'd work me good. I love that she uses different techniques and incorporates stretching and advises on exercise. When I call with acute pain

This is an update. I had the Hot Stone Massage last week. Can I say which one I prefer? No:) I had to lay there for a few moments afterwards because I didn't think my legs would hold me up! I was so relaxed I felt like a limp noodle! lol If you get a chance, try it. Both massages are amazing! Thank you, Amanda!

Being a Pilates Instructor I use my body a lot and am rather picky about massage therapists. Working with Amanda has kept my body comfortable and refreshed while working long hours. Her hands seem to know exactly what to release and by how much so I leave feeling great. Amanda knowledge of anatomy adds to her talent. She is also very strong so if you want deep work she can deliver. Other perks are the location and massage room. The massage bed has a heater --- which always feel so good and the room is meticulously clean and smells good. Her rates are reasonable as well. I highly recommend
