Ocoee Animal Hospital was founded in 1978 as a small "country" practice in an area that did not have access to a veterinary facility. Two of our doctors acquired the practice in 1983 with the vision of becoming a full-service, high-quality practice in North Georgia, Southeastern Tennessee, and Western North Carolina.

Slowly, then moving more quickly, the practice grew. We started in a small office located north of our current location. During our time at that location, we had to expand the building to accommodate our growing practice. In 1999 we moved to our current facility on All Creatures Place.
Services
Ocoee Animal Hospital offers preventive care and services for kittens, puppies, cats, and dogs. The entire team at Ocoee Animal Hospital in Blue Ridge, GA recommends that your pet receive a complete wellness examination at least once a year, but more frequent exams are encouraged.

During wellness exams, we perform a complete physical and recommend a heartworm test, fecal flotation test for intestinal parasites, and red blood tests that can indicate the presence underlying diseases. To keep your pet parasite free, we also recommend preventive medication for heartworms, fleas and ticks.
At Ocoee Animal Hospital, our goal is to keep your pet happy and healthy. We're able to do that for sick and injured animals largely thanks to modern diagnostics. Digital radiography and ultrasound as well as telemedicine capabilities all contribute to this goal. Diagnostic imaging can be an alternative to exploratory surgery.
Dental care is an essential part of your pet's overall health. When oral hygiene is neglected, pets can develop dental disease which negatively affects other systems in the body and may lead to tooth loss. A pet's dental health is just as important as their physical health, however, it often goes overlooked.
The entire staff at Ocoee Animal Hospital understands that the decision to allow your beloved companion to undergo surgery is never an easy one. We strive to ensure your pet's procedure is as comfortable and stress-free as possible. Perhaps the most important pre-surgical step is to discuss why we believe a particular procedure is necessary and what it entails.
Pet health certificates are required for pets traveling both domestically within the United States and internationally. We're happy to assist you with your pet's health certificate, but the associated paperwork can take several weeks to process. Different countries have different travel criteria, so we'll need to determine exactly what you'll need and what requirements you'll have to meet in order for your pet to travel with you.
