Bob Alkon is the founding partner of Alkon & Levine. His business savvy and financial insight have enabled him to grow the firm from a handful of clients to over 2,000. Established in 1981 as Alkon & Levine, P.C., the firm actually has roots in the Newton, Massachusetts community going back to 1970. Many of the families we serve today are the children and grandchildren of our original clients. In 1955, as a new year began to unfold, so did what would eventually become the firm of Alkon & Levine, P.C. It all started when Newton, MA native John Vaccaro opened a one person accounting office in Newtonville, MA. At that time his mother was his only employee until she passed away in 1970.
In November of that same year, John hired a highly promising new accounting graduate from the University of Massachusetts named Robert (Bob) Alkon, of Newton, MA.John and Bob worked together for 8 years, eventually forming the partnership Vaccaro and Alkon, Certified Public Accountants. During that time John schooled Bob on all aspects of managing a successful accounting practice.
