We brought our son here when he was 5 or 6 to help him bring his inner strength out. Not only did he learn this incredible lesson, but he also learned tenacity and build endurance and become part of the special family that is Alameda Martial Arts. I had checked out a few other martial arts spots and what drew me here was Sir and Maria. They really get to know the students and meet them where they are and help them grow and evolve with excellent teaching, role modeling, patience, love, boundaries. It's the whole package with Sir and Maria- martial arts, life lessons, encouragement, discipline, learning

The main thing that separates Alameda Martial Arts from other studios is the philosophy to embrace different forms of practice. If you train to only fight standing up - what happens when you're taken down? If you train to only grapple - what happens if you cannot take your opponent down? It is one of the best places to train in Alameda City and all ages are welcomed and encouraged to participate. My son and I have been going there for nearly 8 years.

Such a great place for anyone in your family to gain fitness, balance and confidence. A treasure for Alameda's youth.
