A preventive program is a cooperative effort by the patient, dentist, and dental staff to preserve the natural dentition and supporting structures by preventing the onset, progress, and recurrence of dental diseases and conditions. Preventing dental disease starts at home with good oral hygiene and a balanced diet.
A comprehensive dental exam will be performed by your dentist at your initial dental visit. Examination of diagnostic X-rays (radiographs): Essential for detection of decay, tumors, cysts, and bone loss. X-rays also help determine tooth and root positions. Oral cancer screening: Check the face, neck, lips, tongue, throat, tissues, and gums for any signs of oral cancer.

So far so good. I hadn't had a general dentist for a minute and needed a little work. They are very kind and thorough with pain management. I recently had to go back to have a sensitivity issue checked and, and they just fixed it in a minute and sent me on my way. My partner has decided to begin going here as well.

I’ve been going to fifth Street dental since we moved here in 2007. They are convenient, professional and I always feel like I get great care through them. They work diligently to accommodate my busy schedule and I very much appreciate their flexibility with my last minute business trips which always seem to interfere with my scheduled appointments.

I have been coming to this office for many years and have always had the best experiences. I’ve always been impressed with each phone call for appointments and reminders, every staff member always being incredibly friendly and always knowing who I am ( even now in a mask!) , to the amazing treatment I get when receiving either a basic cleaning or a more in-depth service. Dr Mallia is amazing and will go out of her way to be accommodating and helpful. She and her staff are efficiently fluid working together! They are always happy and willing to make your day better too !

I was very pleased with my first visit to Fifth Street Dental Care. Upon arrival, Barb at the front desk was very polite and friendly. For those concerned about their safety, I had my temperature taken and everyone was wearing masks. The lobby and examination rooms were meticulously clean. Joanie, my dental hygienist was very thorough and friendly as well. I felt totally at ease with Dr. Mallia. She explained my dental situation and how to proceed forward. Hopefully will be using their services for years to come.

5th Street Dental is my thought for the ideal dental practitioner. Friendly,professional staff and a superb dentist who really puts a capital "C" in Care for her patients. And NEVER have I had my teeth cleaned as well as Jamie does it. I can not say enough about this office and the outstanding care that my wife and I have received. We started here several years ago after some issues with our last Dentist. 5th Street has been a 100% improvement and Dr Mallia is fantastic, professional,thorough,and friendly. I just went to this dentist yesterday, and my experience was great!
I hadn't been to the dentist in almost 2 years, and I didn't feel like I was being judged by anyone.
The hygienist, Jamie, was very thorough and explained everything she was doing and why she was doing it. They have a camera to take pictures of your teeth which is pretty cool. Also, their office is latex-free.
The Dr herself was very gentle and also explained what things meant, why, etc. All in all, its a.great place in a great location so make an appointment!
