Old Florida Awesomeness. We are from the area, but have never stayed at the lodge. The view from our room of the boats coming and leaving from the marina through the channel is something my wife and I could do everyday. The old lodge(the restaurant/bar) was historic and charming. The bartender, David, was personable and experienced. The food was delicious and our waitress Donna was attentive and friendly. We will make this a regular get away. Highly recommended for a an old Florida feel getaway that is not easy to come by.

Specific reservation for screened area facing the water. This was not allowed seated in a closed room. Excited to show friends the old Florida feel but just got a Very musty moldy smell. Unable to accommodate no nut options overall or no egg bread. Very small portions for 30$. A big struggle overall.

The food was ridiculously priced for the amount and quantity. Not to mention not prepared the way it was ordered. There were 8 of us, pork tenderloin was dry, burger was over cooked the second time after sending it back (they did comp it). Fish of the day was not blackened or grilled as ordered on salad. Pasta had TOO many sweet peppers. ALL in ALL I would not recommend and do not plan to go back. I will add, the manager came out about the burger cooked it himself Med Rare and came back just as over cooked as the first time and blamed the waitress in front of the whole table. NOT worth the price

I am plant based, called the restaurant 10 days before arriving to advise. Nothing was offered to me but what was on the menu. Over cooked veggies and some mushy quinoa. Is a nice place, maybe good seafood but my meal was terrible.

If you're looking for peace and quiet and a taste of "Old Florida," Tarpon Lodge is the place for you. My partner and I recently spent three nights at the Lodge and we had a relaxing time. We spent our mornings enjoying the complimentary continental breakfast (served from 7-10a) and walking the Calusa Heritage Trail (located across the street from the Lodge), our days reading, and our nights eating and drinking. The restaurant serves delicious and simply prepared meals for both lunch and dinner. They have a well-stocked bar too. The staff was friendly and professional. We have one

There is no better place for fine dining on Pine Island, then at the Tarpon Lodge, in Pineland, Florida. The lodge sits on waterfront property with n excellent view of the awesome sunsets on a daily basis. The staff is very experience in assisting you with making enjoyable memories with family and friends at Tarpon Lodge.

Absolutely luxurious lunch at Tarpon Lodge. White tablecloths, excellent food, very attentive waitstaff and beautiful atmosphere. We took a walk around the grounds after a fine lunch, and although we were only an hour from home, we felt like we were on an exotic island vacation. This is the sister lodge to the one on Cabbage Key. Both are experiences to be treasured. We will definitely return.

Great food. Perfect location if you're catching the ferry for Captiva and are hungry! Recommend the outdoor poolside seating, had the perfect sea breeze to keep us cool and keep the bugs away, and way less people!

Not only we ate there we stayed at the lodge and I haven't met nicer service. Everyone was so super friendly and accommodating. The place feels so quiet and relaxed, far away from noise and traffic. The restaurant is amazing. Everything was delish. And deserts omg .. creme brûlée ( we had to order a second portion) cheesecake, key lime pie everything was just a heaven in the mouth. I can't wait to come back again!

Update: we came back on another night and liked it better. There is no doubt this is the most upscale dining spot in the area of Pine Island and Matlacha. This time my wife had the fish of the day which was a triple tail. It was poached and served over rice -- she thought it was great. Meanwhile I had several of the appetizers including a soup of the day which was chicken farro. Surprisingly delicious! I also tried the Bronzed gulf pink shrimp and the deconstructed bruschetta. Liked them both. White table cloths, nice wine list and good selection of cocktails. Fine dining. We grew tired of the

4.5 stars. First off the service is outstanding--just what you'd expect in a restaurant with white tablecloths! But this restaurant isn't stuffy; it's absolutely okay to show up in casual clothes especially if you're sitting on the patio or outside lawn. All COVID guidelines are strictly followed and social distancing is easy to maintain. About the food...I had the crabcake sandwich and it was delicious! And the crab & corn chowder with oyster crackers is so yummy. It's definitely worth the trip.

For a special evening 4 of us enjoyed this new culinary experience. It was a delightful evening;
6p reservations and we came early.
The restaurant is a historic hostel (hotel rooms, pool, marina) with wood floors, a great patio dining area, with nice settings.
AMBIENCE- 4.5 stars. Real nice
FOOD- 4 stars overall. I had chicken with lump crab cream sauce over a bed of spinach (too salty), mashed potatoes (lumpy), Caesar salad, Coffee & caramel cheese cake. My friends(3) enjoyed their fresh catch with mango salsa. The crab was minimal but overall it was deliciously prepared. Salad was fresh
