Our focus is enhancing your home - of adding and transforming to bring you an experience you didn't believe possible. Since the imagination is boundless, the possibilities are endless. But below are some headings which most of our work falls under. As you consider the options, remember that we can integrate any structure we build with any existing sun room, spa, balcony, pool, waterfall or any other element in your back or front yard.
In recent years, probably 75% of the projects we've built included a screened-in porch, but the dominance of screened-in porches has shifted to porches that are open. If you haven't considered an open-air porch as part of your outdoor living space, you may want to think about the features offered by such a porch.
In spite of the advances in building technology over the last few decades, we were underwhelmed with the available options in decking material. For whatever reason, the manufacturers, distributors, contractors and homeowners just haven't communicated effectively to produce better deck and porch building material.
First and foremost are our products. Over the last 20 years, we worked with every deck building material imaginable (cedar, ipe, composite, etc) and with them encountered every problem imaginable (cupping, rotting, molding, etc). So we decided to take matters into our hands years ago to construct our own specialized product line.
If criteria is met (scope, budget), then we meet to discuss in more detail, take measurements, etc. We obtain necessary building permits and licenses in accordance with builder codes and local ordinances. In the event a change needs to be made (for whatever reason), we will draw up revised plans to be approved (and signed) by you.

John at Tailored Wood Decks is the best! He renovated our 20 year old screened in porch, and it is stunning! He can make basically anything you want work. Tailor wood is professional, fairly priced, and can complete your project in a timely manner. Right now, he is renovating our front porch, and I'm hoping to use him again in the future to build a back deck. I cannot recommend him more highly!

Tailor Decks did a project for us two years ago, which included a deck and screened in porch. One of the deck boards developed a split near the end. The Tailor Deck people are working a project just four doors away, so I stopped to seek their advice about the split. John (young John) immediately came to our house, looked at the split, went back to the current project, picked up a new deck board, cut it to length, and installed it, free of charge, all in about 15 minutes. That's customer service. Wow! Outstanding product and service.
