The founder, Jim Thornton, has over 45 years of construction experience in both large commercial, residential construction and development. He translates that experience into building quality homes and ranches at the lake and resort areas of East Texas.

Holly Lake Ranch in East Texas is a resort community located on 4,300 heavily wooded acres in Wood County, Texas.
Thornton Construction builds at Lake Bob Sandlin. To view our homesites visit Grand Banks and Rocky Point. Check out The Peninsulas, a planned water front community. Texas. The largest of the four lakes in the area, it was constructed in 1974 by the Titus County Fresh Water District. Lake Bob Sandlin provides its best fishing in the spring.
Thornton Construction builds at Lake Cypress Springs. To view our homes visit Whippoorwill Commons West, Land's End and Twin Coves. Lake Cypress Springs is located about seven miles south of Mt. Vernon in the rolling hills and "piney woods" area of northeast Texas. Mt. Vernon is situated at the 146 exit on I-30 about 100 miles east of Dallas and 80 miles west of Texarkana.
