Zach was here within 45 minutes to help with our garage door problem. He did a complete inspection and took a short video to show us our problem. We ended up getting a new opener to eliminate our photo cell problem of direct sunlight messing with the operation. He was very helpful, gave easy to understand information.

Good: very timely, polite and pleasant service reps. Work was done effectively and well.
Not-so-good: They have changed their business sales model recently and now try to upsell things that are really not needed, and at unusually high prices. I have experienced that twice with them recently now at two different homes. Have used Ideal for years at my home and for a rental property, but I will not use them again.

We recommend Ideal Garage doors. They were on time, very nice, and Janet in scheduling texted a photo of the tech before he arrived (for our security). Workers wore masks, kept distance, yet were friendly and knowledgeable. The 1st tech, Cody, said we need a new garage door (ours is 30 yrs old). He showed us specific issues as to Why a new door was needed. He also showed us an array of choices in a range of costs, no 'hard sell'.

I'm sorry, but this sounds like a scam. I'm sure they do quality work and are good people, they better be at their pricing. I got an estimate to replace my broken spring. Got upsold to replace everything but panels for over $1200, or i could replace my spring only for $700+. I can get a whole new door at Home Depot for those prices. So i paid the service fee and before Ideal left my driveway, i was on the phone with another vendor that confirmed a spring replacement was about $250 and that they'd be here within the hour. I'll see what they charge to overhaul my door as Ideal

I had a spring break on my garage door and called Ideal Overhead, left a message and was promptly returned a call and had service scheduled for that same day within 3 hours. I was told a price over the phone and that was the price I paid, no surprises, very reasonable rates. The technician that was assigned to me called when he was on his way, got to our house and looked at the spring and replaced both very quickly as a knowledgeable garage door specialist would. I will definitely use Ideal again and recommend them to everyone I can.
