Hi, I'm Clayton Johnson, the head of Journey Martial Arts and I've been teaching in Setauket, Port Jefferson, Mt. Sinai, and Miller Place area for over 20 years. I have seen literally thousands of people grow from infants into adults and I have seen their lives affected positively though martial arts training.

Master Johnson is extremely skilled at Martial Arts and is an excellent teacher! He meets each student where they are and encourages them to excell beyond their expectations. He is phenomenal at working with people of all ages, experiences, abilities, and medical needs. His lessons focus on strength of the whole person: mind, body, and spirit.

Master Johnson and his staff create an environment of betterment that is very deliberate and well thought through. My wife and I joined as beginners 1.5 years ago. Since then, every week has been better than the previous week! Strengths: Master Johnson and instructors, while extremely knowledgeable, know how to provide you with level-appropriate challenges and guidance.

Watching my kids participate in their tournament, I am once again deeply impressed with the program that Master Johnson and his teachers have built. My son and daughter love their karate classes, and have become stronger and more confident as a result.
The atmosphere here is fun, hardworking, and filled with respect for both teachers and kids. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Master Johnson and all his teachers go above and beyond to meet and surpass their students' goals. My grandson has been taking Karate here since he was 3 and is now a green belt at the age of 7. I started Kickboxing at my Grandson's request, and it's a great workout. It's a great way to start my day , and a great way to finish it. There's not a better school around in which the Teachers care about each student , and his or her needs and goals. A+ across the board.
