Funerals serve an important purpose: they provide family and friends a caring and supportive environment to gather and recognize the life of their loved one and to acknowledge that the life has come to an end. Each funeral should be as unique as the life that was lived. Behe Funeral Home provides many service options for you to choose from in order to meet your religious and cultural traditions, costs and personal preferences.

Services
Continuing a tradition started by the Seymour family in 1912, the Behe Family has been serving the Oxford area since 1960. Judson and Beverly Behe were joined in the business by their son and his wife, Steven and Sherry in 1969. We offer a warmly decorated home that was built in 1846, with two areas available for services, full handicap accessibility, and a play room for children with games, TV, etc.
NYS Route 12 North to Oxford, turn right at the first traffic light, cross the bridge and we are the first place on the left. From Interstate 88 take the exit for NYS Route 8 North and go through 3 traffic lights, go another 1.5 miles to a flashing traffic light, turn left on to Chenango County Route 35, go 14 miles to Oxford.
No matter if a death is sudden, or if it something that was a long time coming, the loss of a loved one makes us feel emotional and overwhelmed. No amount of preparation can fully prepare you for the loss of a loved one. When you are in a heightened emotional state, even the most basic decisions can seem staggering.
Traditionally, a burial service involves a visitation, followed by a funeral service in a church, or other place of worship. The casket is typically present at both these events, and it is your decision on whether to have the casket open or not. You have the option of having the remains interred (earth burial), or it may be entombed in a crypt inside a mausoleum (above ground burial).
