Founder and president, Amboy Korling, has a deep passion for construction which led him to develop and manage projects in Costa Rica, Israel and all over United States. We selected Korling Inc. (Amboy Korling) as the general contractor to perform the Earthquake Brace + Bolt retrofit of our older single-story home in Goleta CA.
From our very first meeting we could tell we made the correct contractor selection.
Mr. Korling made what sounds like a very complicated task seem simple because he accepted full responsibility to see our entire project through from start to finish.

We recently moved into an older house and needed more storage. Amboy came out and with his help we determined that the garage attic was the logical space. The day of the project Amboy arrived on time and got right to work. He installed stairs leading up to the attic and strong, reinforced, floors that can hold a significant amount of weight. Not only is Amboy a true professional and passionate about his work, he is a joy to be around and we had a great time. I'll definitely be working with him again.

When we decided to move to Carpinteria we put out a call for contractors and Amboy responded first. We are so glad he did. While we stayed in an AirBnB condo for a month, Amboy and his crew totally remodeled our kitchen, painted all the walls, put in floors, made two spaces into functioning closets and put up various light fixtures, installed a window and pet doors in the garage and various other things I've forgotten about. The best thing was he got everything finished in the 6-week time frame we had, so we were able to move in on time.

Amboy Korling did an outstanding job repairing my cracked drywall ceiling & painting the entire ceiling. He can first to do an inspection, discussed all available options & gave me a clear, concise quote. ( & even did some extra things not in original quote) During the few days of work, he kept me up to date, showed me progress & was very professional/knowledgeable. Additionally he kept my furniture/fixtures well covered during the work & very thoroughly cleaned up. I would highly recommend Korling Construction for any job big or small & will definitely be using him again!

Amboy and crew put in some attic stairs for us. He was easy to work with and clear about what was included in the pricing. He showed up on time and did everything exactly as he said he was going to. The results turned out great. My favorite part was the work he did setting up a clean area to prevent any mess from the construction inside the house, this was sooo appreciated and not very well done by most in this industry. Amboy also did a prior project for us adding walls to a deck we built and did an excellent job on that too. I highly recommend this company and will definitely use them again on

In November of this year I needed an earthquake retrofit of my house. After a certain amount of research, I decided upon Korling Construction. From the very beginning of our interaction, he established parameters, was clear about prices, carefully analyzed the situation asking questions, and answered my own completely. Could not be more thrilled with Amby and his construction company. He was everything you would want in a contractor: knowledgeable, patience, solution oriented, looking out for my bottom line, and most importantly, concerned for the safety of my children. We have an old deck that is in need of repair (someday) but for now fixing pieces at a time. My solution was a simple "band-aid" approach, however, upon further inspection, Amboy discovered a slightly bigger problem---but no problem for him! Most trustworthy contractor in the area, I just hope he will stay this way. He came highly recommended by friends and he gave us a budget that was best out of all contractors we talked to. He built my guest house and I have received everything that he promised - on time and at the price he budgeted for. He has best attitude and never gets angry even when sometime it's rough. I've worked with many contractors before- by far Amboy was my best experience!
