Services
We are proud to be a training association of the Royce Gracie Jiu - Jitsu Network. Following the fundamentals of founder Helio Gracie, you will learn attributes such as calmness under stress, strength, endurance, flexibility, and confidence. Gracie Jiu Jitsu emphasizes taking an opponent to the ground and utilizing ground fighting techniques and submission holds involving joint locks and choke holds.
Muay Thai Kickboxing (Thai boxing) is one of the hottest rising sports around. At The Edge, we teach Muay Thai in a well rounded manner with an emphasis on mental focus and physical conditioning. What differentiates The EDGE Muay Thai from other training gyms is its unique ability to provide professional-level training with competition level equipment and support.
This program is designed to help your child reach their highest potential in life and in school through our amazing "Life Skills" program. The students will learn the importance of self respect, self discipline, goal setting and perseverance all while having fun! The physical aspect of the classes will get the students into shape while learning cutting edge martial arts.
This class is designed to teach basic tumbling skills required for cheerleading. It starts with basic warm-up skills and transitions to round-off back-handsprings, toe-touch back-handsprings and standing back-handsprings. This is an introductory class that teaches students how to stretch properly and basic flexibility skills.

I started doing private tumbling lessons at the edge. The coach would not spot my back handspring and just made me do drills and condition the entire time. I felt as if it was a waste of both my time and my money. I understand that drills are important but when paying for a private you should be spotted. I can do drills at home. I have now switched my tumbling classes to dynamic gymnastics. There is more space and equipment and they agree it is necessary to spot.

I have been training here since mid 2014. I started learning jiujitsu at 30 and was skeptical about starting at this age but the coaches and the other athletes made me feel comfortable and encouraged me to keep coming. Fast forward to 2018 and I’m still here multiple days a week as my work schedule allows me and still loving every class. This isn’t the time of school that breezes through promotions and belts, the coaches take their time in teaching and making sure their students know what they need to know in Self-defense, Jiujitsu, and/or Muay Thai. Although I am not a tumbler, I can tell

Awsome place, along with great training and people who work with you instead of bullying you. Highly recommended for people for all types of goals.

My sister and I started training Jiu Jitsu here a few months ago and it has been a very fun and interesting challenge. The coaches are caring and truly want you to succeed in your chosen art. I have watching the kids tumbling as well and they seem to enjoy it. The gym is kept clean and the employees and owner are all very friendly. If you are looking for an extra curricular here in lynchburg then check out the edge!
