The Sunshine House was formed in Greenwood, SC, by a husband and wife team of public school teachers. The couple wasn't satisfied with the local care options available for their young daughter, so they started The Sunshine House. One of our first schools, on Grace Street in Greenwood, SC, is still in operation today!

Our award-winning educational childcare, preschool, pre-K, after-school, and summer camp programs focus on school readiness, social and emotional development, literacy, problem solving and other critical life skills.
We've designed a nurturing, calming environment for your baby to develop and thrive in! Our infant nursery has been designed to provide warmth and security and to respond to your baby's energy and curiosity. Your primary caregiver is focused on the individual needs of your baby, and will work with you to mirror your existing routine with bottle times, naps and play times to provide consistency.
In our toddler daycare & education program, your toddler is making great developmental strides -- from first steps to potty training! We respond to your toddler's growing curiosity, energy and enthusiasm with fun learning activities and creative playtime, while introducing structure and a routine. These experiences help make learning fun!
In our early preschool program, your active 2- or 3-year-old will participate in engaging experiences and environments that support the development of their brain, body and social-emotional skills. The educational childcare program is designed to provide the structure and support your child needs during this important transition from toddlerhood to preschool.

My 3 year has been attending this facility for almost 3 months. She truly enjoyed her class and her primary teacher Ms.Jacasia!She is the absolute BEST! Unfortunately she’s been out and subs came in and things turned for the worst. My daughter started having accidents (she’s been fully potty trained since she’s been 2 yrs old)…. The first time it happened, a week ago, they sent her home in extra clothes but when it happened this week a sub teacher left her in her soiled clothing from 12pm that afternoon until 5 pm when she was picked up by my sister.NOT A SINGLE PERSON CONTACTED ME NOR

As if the Sunshine House on Decker needed any improvement! Every morning from the front I am greeted with a smile and personal conversation from Jasmine and Crystal! Then as I enter the classroom the ladies (Rose, Tarraya, LaReese, Mrs. Gail, Savannah)ALWAYS make my children feel special with compliments and stay ready to help them transition to daycare life. I highly recommend Sunshine on Decker and hopefully your experience will match or exceed mines! Godbless you all!!

By far one of the most unprofessional businesses I have ever encountered. I highly recommend entrusting your children with a more dependable company. I used this daycare temporarily while out of the country for a month. Before enrolling, I contacted this facility to discuss tuition rates. The rates were provided to me both by phone and by email. I was advised by Christine of the weekly and daily rates available before enrolling my children. Because my children had other summer commitments planned, I wanted to have a full understanding of my options for days that they would not be in attendance

The Sunshine will unenroll your child without your knowledge. The are not properly staffed. My child attended this facility for 4 going on 5 years and they have been through several directors. The director and her assistant have attitudes.. more so her assistant. They also have a very nasty person in cooperate who some how makes decisions by pulling them out of a hat... cause when asked why she could not give reasons. She further more dismissed so many children from that facility , she could not remember who my child was. I don't recommend anyone to use them for their child care needs.

Sunshine House on Decker ROCKS!! Over 10 years ago, I had a horrific encounter with a daycare, which led me to believe that I would NEVER trust another daycare center with my children. Intially in August 2017, I heavily critiqued the staff and building and I am pleased to report in this review that from Ms. Tyniko Burrison -Ms.Shirley-Brandi K, Tarraya M, Rose to Ms.Reese( just to name a few) really have grown on me and I can say that I trust that they treat my son and daughter, as well as the other children at the center like a member of their families. It truly does take a village to raise children

This Sunshine house on Decker is Horrible! I picked my baby up early from school today, not only was she not in her assigned classroom but she was SOAKING WET! Nap time starts at 12pm and I didn’t get there until 1:45! Which means my daughter has been laying in her own urine for over an hour and the teacher had not checked any of the children! That is called NEGLECT!!!! I have spoken to the director Ms.Tyknico numerous times about my concerns with switching taking my daughter out of her class and yet my daughter always ends up in the classroom with children twice her size! This school is disgusting

My daughter has just started attending this location and so far she loves being there. She has never really been active or talkative but now every new thing she learns she can't wait to tell her dad and I. With my own personal concerns or questions Ms.Tyniko has made sure I was comfortable talking to her and she has always looked out for my daughter and even called to check on her when she had to stay home sick. I am a very happy momma so far.

The Sunshine House is a great daycare! My babies have been attending this daycare for the last 4 years and I'm so glad I chose this location. The director is amazing and makes sure all your needs are taken care of. The teachers go above and beyond the call of duty to ensure your children are well taken care of during the day. I had a baby last year and was nervous about returning to work after 8 weeks, but his teacher is a Godsend. I'm very worrisome, but I don't have to worry about my children when they are at the daycare. I highly recommend this location to any and everyone.

When I had to make the decision to take my daughter to daycare I was very nervous. I enrolled her in a previous daycare about 5 minutes away from my house and found that my daughter did not take well to the staff and everyone seemed uninterested and board.
