Congratulations on becoming the proud possession of a new kitten! The following is our recommendation for the health and medical care of your kitten for his or her first six months. Factors such as age and environment can change your cat's vaccination requirements. Most people aren't 100% sure their cat will always stay indoors, so we recommend protecting the kitten from contagious diseases for the first 2-3 years.
If you have lived with your cat since it was young then you have a good understanding of what is normal for your cat in the way of behavior and habits. Any changes in their behavior or habits can be a sign of illness. Because signs of illness in cats can be so subtle, even the most astute owner may miss some of these changes especially when the onset is so gradual.

Incredibly Amazing Staff & Doctors. Like Family!
Point Vicente Animal Hospital has been taking care of our family pet for the past 14 years. She just passed away on Friday, and every single time we brought her in for boarding, a check-up, or an emergency, she was loved and cared for, and for that we are eternally grateful. We love every single doctor we've encountered as well as the care team. (I worked most often with Shanna and Dawn, who are incredible.) Even on our last day together, PVAH took the most loving care of Chia until her last breath and (a desolate) me. Would highly recommend to

The care at Pt. Vicente is exceptional. I have a very old dog and cat so I visit often. The staff is friendly and professional. Dr. Cassie Jones is simply wonderful. In my opinion she is an exceptional diagnostician with an openness to supporting me in trying various remedies for my very sick dog. Perhaps the most endearing is her genuine fondness and caring for my animals. I feel very lucky to have this support.

Point Vicente Animal Hospital goes above and beyond. Our cat, Whiskers, had a sudden illness. Point Vicente took him right away and were very caring and loving. They wanted him monitored over night and the Doctor offered to come in and check on him if she couldn't find him an overnight hospital. They have contacted to call and check up on him. All of staff have truly gone above and beyond. And on top of all of the care and attention, they have discounted thei cost of care, which was already reasonable to begin with. If you love your pet, Point Vicente Animal Hospital is the obvious choice.

Dr Cassie Jones was sweet! She didn’t charge me for anything erroneous! I didn’t want to go to a new vet, but I’m glad I chose her! I will go back there! She actually cares 💖 about my cat 💖. Dr Cassie won me over and I now have a new vet. My cats tail wasn’t broken, it just needed an antibiotic and it’s better now.

We came here due to an emergency with our bunny. We were clearly stressed and the staff was so patient and helpful, we were able to calm down and know we were in good hands.
Dr. Dueppen was quick to help our bunny feel better, and we really appreciate her constant transparency and communication throughout the diagnosis and treatment. I hope we never run into an emergency like this again, but I feel much better knowing we have an incredible team to work with at Point Vicente for any future needs.
