Dr. Yoon is a well-loved veterinarian in Los Angeles. A heavy dose of science class combined with his love of animals drove him to pursue a doctorate in veterinary medicine. He renders professional care to pets with lots of love. He is also bilingual and would love to engage Korean speaking clients in order to provide the best quality, communication, and care.

Honestly I've never written a review on a yelp or anything like that but I had too for this spot. Economico Animal Hospital helped me get my dog back. My dog cloe was throwing up one morning and little did we know she was dying of pyometra. We went vet to vet until economico hospital decided to help her, at this point she was already dying and we had little hope that she was going to recover. We aren't the richest and we knew the bill was going to be pricey but economico hospital helped us figure it out & honestly it was just a big relief because we were told my dogs surgery went

More affordable prices than other vets like Harbor Animal.
I thank them for not putting muzzles in my great danes..they are gentle giants but if you scare them??? Watch out

Thank you Economico Animal Hospital! I found my 13 yr old Chihuahua, Chloe not doing so well yesterday morning and rushed to another emergency vet where they were charging 3x as much as Economico was for basic work and to just be seen. I was referred to Economico for a lower cost and could not be more grateful. They saw Chloe and immediately told me she needed surgery for a closed pyometra. They were very transparent about the procedure and the cost. Unfortunately, I've fallen on hard times so I was very nervous on payment but Dr.Yoon and the staff were more than willingly to work with me

First and foremost, I spent too much money and time there, to now find that you left a suture in my dog that you diagnosed with cancer! I pay what I'm told and I don't complain about your prices. Your system is not the greatest and the wait time after initial check in os ridiculous. There is no way I should have been there an hour for a suture removal and you still left a suture in. Your female staff are all young and rude. You should consider diversifying your staff. I've encountered two males, one was kind the one I just spoke to today was ok. If I could provide ZERO (0) stars to Economico Animal Hospital, I truly would. What a nightmare of an experience my chihuahua has had both of his times being seen at this "animal hospital."
After a mast cell tumor (MCT) and lipoma were removed, they placed an Elizabethan cone/collar on his head.
Everything was fine until he went for his check-up the following week; where they would re-examine his sutures and the surgery site.
Upon bringing him home from this second visit, we noticed he was acting differently

I understand we're living in the middle of a pandemic, but the protocol at this hospital is overly extreme. The process definitely needs to be changed and improved because it doesn't work for the pet and owner.
Long story short, there was something wrong with my cat's eye. I called my regular vet, a couple other vets near me, where appointments were months out and at least a 5 hour wait in the ER, as I was told. I came here because one of the other vet offices told me they took walk-ins.
Everything is handled outside. You sign in and wait in your car for staff to speak to you

I just moved to the South Bay and my fur baby, who is a senior dog, was having a really urgent issue. No other vets would take us and a few emergency vets said it wasn’t even a big enough issue (it was!), but Economico did and understood the urgency of the situation. It really felt like they cared about my dog—she had a major procedure where she was put under so naturally I was scared, but seeing how much effort the staff put into explaining everything and making sure I understood the procedure and medicines instead of just sending me home with the paper made me feel like I was in really good

Off the top, don't let someone's opinion or "bad review" stray you from optimal service. My dog was on the brink of death and the doctor did everything to save my dog. After saving her life, she had a series of tumors and cysts due to skin cancer. The doctor removed them all and literally helped my family from falling apart. Forget the strict COVID rules/regulations and procedures that are practiced at the hospital (having to wait in car), actions speak louder than words. Want another opinion? Ask Abby. Here she is, healthy and beautiful as ever.

It's been a white since I've updated my review. I've continued to feel so happy about the service here. Dr. Yoon has been caring and really understanding. He truly cares and try's to help the pets.
My advice to people looking at the hospital. Ignore the negative reviews I worked in customer service and can understand how some people are. I've been here so many times and never experienced any of the things they were saying, which makes me think that there may be more to the story.
Check this place out they care about the pets. They work hard and deserve all the praise

I recently adopted a cat and she was throwing up. I literally called hospitals all over and no one was about to take her in. I'm an RN so I know that the hospitals are super busy, but i didn't know animal hospitals were on the same level as us. I called Economico animal hospital and they offered me a walk-in exam. I walked in, filled out the paperwork and waited.
I got checked in, they picked up my pet. Dr Yoon came outside to speak with me and told me what he was going to do. The receptionist came out and went over the estimate. She explained what everything was and how much. I signed

Great caring staff and they are on it. Dr.Hwang truly cares about animals. (Covid-19 Restrictions have clients waiting in their cars) but that did not make a difference in efficient service. They have a lot of caring staff members who are professional and polite. (seemed like 1:1 ratio) Different staff members consulted with me (Yenni, Vivi, and Elma) I probably misspelled. Another new girl checked me in, I didn't catch her name, and finally Dr. Hwang.

This place was a lifesaver: Once when there were no other places open and my dog was having allergy issues and again when she had an ear infection. The wait was not unreasonable and they are very accommodating to walk-in clients. The vets here are super knowledgeable and you don’t feel like just a number.

Absolutely love the staff here, super clear about what's going on with amazing communication. They make me feel like my dog is their family too. "Our baby"! Currently they do not have a waiting room open, you sit in your car which is fine and helped my puppies anxiety. 100% would recommend to my friend's for their pets.

I usually LOVE this place. Customer service is excellent, the location is convenient, the actual hospital is clean and wellkept. However, my dog injured her leg the other day and all they recommended was surgery ($5,000+). I asked if we could try something less invasive such as a brace but they said they don't carry braces 😑 ... Perhaps I'm reading too much into it but it just seemed like a cash grab. I understand it's a business but I would also like to know that this place cares. They then told me I could just think about it and prescribed some medications. My dog is doing better with rest

Called a month or two ago to make an appointment for Mamba as the reviews here seemed stellar. However based on my experience - I'm good. I rather not return. That's so unfortunate.

Upon speaking to one of the receptionists, I was told documents would need to filled out when we arrived. Additionally, I was told that we should come early because they accept emergency walk ins during the day. She said to arrive 40 minutes early. They'll try their best

This place has a ton of business, for good reason! The staff is very kind, courteous, and professional. I scheduled my dog for a general exam and booster shots and the process was smooth and easy. They treated my dog very well and were fairly quick considering how many others were also there to receive services. After check in, we were out about an hour later.
The price of the overall visit and vaccines was very good, especially compared to others nearby (others ask for an arm and a leg in payment).
Overall, we're very happy and this will be our go to pet hospital from now on. Highly recommended

Horrible place. NEVER bring your dog to them. In the past 7 months I always took my dog to them. For 7 months they told me my dog is a male. I trusted them with all my heart even there was a time I thought he seems like a female. Today, I brought him to the hospital because I want to check his gender. They now told me my dog a female. I was completely shocked. Then, a male doctor came out and showed me a paper. This paper was Waffle's first time meeting's information. The doctor blamed me that I wrote his gender wrong. My dog, Chelsea, had knee surgery replacement on both of her hind legs at a different veterinarian in November of 2020. Unfortunately, in late December of the same year, she fell while I was taking her out to do her deeds and she broke her right hind leg. My dog was crying and shaking. I simply could not drive all the way to the initial veterinarian to take care of my dog.
