Robert's professional experience exceeds 35 years. He moved to Delaware from New York with the intent of changing careers. He worked in the salon he now owns when he decided that he couldn't leave the hair industry that was such a big part of his life. After also owning a salon in New York for 15 years, being a salon owner was second nature.
The stylists at Beach Tans & Hair Designs are extremely talented and have many years of experience. We pride ourselves in quality service and continued education. Our staff is here not only to offer our professionalism, but also to make sure you look and feel better about yourself! I’ve been going for several years and the shop and service quality continues climb.
I’m SO happy to have “found” Rocky. He is a very knowledgeable colorist which is extremely hard to find! The other skill I’ve grown to appreciate is his ability to get to know you in a way that allows him to provide guidance on style, color and cuts. I have a adventurous streak which has ended up in let’s say “ interesting” hair color and cuts over the years. Rocky is masterful at listening and suggesting a style and color technique that can quench my need for a fresh look without going to extremes

The first time I've used this kind of spray tan and I got nothing but splatter and now I have splatter marks on my legs and the front of me. I have an age spot on my face and it made it look almost black, so now I have to conceal it. And they didn't tell me to wipe the bottom of my feet - my feet are horribly stained on the bottom. Total waste of my money - can't wait for it to fade away.

I have never felt more uncomfortable walking into a salon than I have stepping into Beach Tan & Hair Designs. The ladies at the front desk were incredibly rude and talked down to me. Not only are the prices completely outrageous, but they bragged about how they were the only tanning salon around when there is another tanning place precisely 7 minutes away.

Definitely not a good environment to be in. Extremely rude on the phone. Quick to speak as if myself even calling was a hassle or a problem. Not enough tanning beds! Place is extremely small. The last time I went here there was a college girl (assuming) at the counter who was nothing but nice to me and had no problem explaining the different types of equipment, availability & session period. The women on the phone had no idea what level her bed was except that it was “high powered” lack of knowledge about the salon you’re working in is KEY. It may not be your expertise whether you paint nails

The owner was sweet, took her time, and gave us detailed instructions. She gave excellent advice and went above and beyond to make the whole experience top notch. I'd highly recommend this salon for spray tanning when your beach vacation involves rainy days and nights in the hotel room instead of long sandy beach days.
