Carrara 640 Wagyu has been awarded a range of honours including the Gold Medal for Branded Beef at the 2019 Queensland Food and Wine Show.
Originating in the second century primarily as a work animal for the rice paddies, the Wagyu of Japan has come to be known today as the most highly marbled and most expensive beef produced in the world. The marbling is so intense that you could say that this is a piece of fat marbled with beef!
In fact, the most prized of all, the A5 grade, is judged on 4 different criteria: the marbling intensity, the color of the fat, the color of the muscle tissue itself (the meat), and the shape of the muscle. If any of these criteria does not match the highest standard then that carcass will not receive the coveted A5 score.

We have been here once before when we got a really good deal using a Groupon. This is an upscale steakhouse. Your steaks come with mashed potatoes and asparagus. Both times, the food was excellent. The service was great. On a Wednesday night in a small town 30 miles from Cincinnati, this place was full with fair number of business people. l loved the aesthetics of the place especially the hidden door in the bookcase/shelving unit. People kept coming in and out. I'm not sure what was up there, possibly another bar.
Again, it is upscale. Expect to spend about $80 per person.

We were looking for a nice restaurant (budget unconsidered) for our anniversary. I ordered an aged steak and it was extreme below average. The cook temp was good at medium rare, but very unflavored. I appreciate the lack of over spicing for the air of the flavor, but the hot and fast preparation lacked ANY salt or flavor and tasted like a charcoal bricket. For the price, get a reservation at a Jeff Ruby reservation.

To celebrate my moms 53rd birthday my dad wanted to take her to a nice dinner. We have ate here previously and the service wasnāt very good however, the food was. We decided to go back thinking the service would be better. We planned to have a NICE dinner for my moms birthday. However, they sat us at a bar table where my dad couldnāt fit. We asked them to sit in the dining room because we made reservations to sit in the dining room for a nice dinner for my moms birthday. They told us they overbooked and we had to sit there or wait a while. I go to long horn and other restaurants that arenāt

If you are only interested in the snob appeal of steaks this is the place for you. The menu is like a textbook on fine meat.
Living up to its billing. My $50+ steak was really great. Also, the service was timely but perfunctory.
From there everything is not so good. It started with a fan blowing cold air right on us and many others which they either couldn't or wouldn't turn off. At first it was tolerable but then became a reason to wear our coats to eat. Then we got to look at a huge hole in the wall with chip board filling it and foam in the seams.

Excellent service by Rudy--he was very personable and knowledgeable with my many menu questions and recommendation requests. Food was perfectly cooked and nicely presented. Had the 6 oz Australian wagyu MR+ with buttermilk mashed potatoes that were both perfectly cooked (apparently potatoes made fresh daily), and charred asparagus. I normally love asparagus, but didn't like the char taste, but they were still fine, and I had plenty of food.
I also got the crab and corn chowder to start. It was very tasty and a much lighter cream broth than the thicker cream chowder you normally get places

Was hearing a lot about this place and came to check it out. So for me dining out in this price range is an entire experience. Atmosphere, staff, service, menu diversity and of course the food.
No question the steaks are amazing, wagyu is delectable. But.... to be honest that's all this place has going for it. The ambiance isn't remarkable, a bit tavern like, noisy and tables too close, service was good, bread service was average, side dish with steak unremarkable ( asparagus and mashed potatoes) both over cooked. I'm sorry to say they have nothing on Jeff Ruby or Jags.

I called for a reservation earlier in the day. The kind lady (Hayley) who took my call asked if we were coming for an occasion. Yes, my wife and I are celebrating 30 years. They kindly had a table for us back in the corner for privacy. How nice! The food was absolutely amazing! The filets were cooked perfectly. The mashed potatoes were delicious. The asparagus was tasty too. To cap it off, we were treated to a complimentary dessert to contribute to our celebration.
The food was amazing, but so was the service we received. A truly first-class operation!
We'll be back!

So I came here a few years back on a Groupon and it was good, but I came back recently because of their Wagyu selection and was floored!.
First off, the prohibition theme is great and the various wood tables on the second floor outside was a great atmosphere.
Staff was great, but I could tell he was swamped.
But to the real reason for the 5 star review.... The Wagyu! The first time I'd had A5 Wagyu was at Gordon Ramsay's Steakhouse in Vegas. It was a taste I'll never forget! I had a "Wagyu" steak at Jeff Ruby's in Cincy, but can only assume it was not Japanese because

Extremely disappointed
My son and I drove over an hour just to try a wagyu flight, because this is their specialty.
When we were sat it was a very small 2 top table, but it was very close to another table and about 3-4 feet away from a service bar. There were no customers at the bar- but there were 2 bartenders working.
The server was extremely kind and knowledgeable. We started by ordering a couple of appetizers and craft cocktails. I inquired about wines they had and she mentioned Caymus by the bottle. I intended to order that with our $300 flight of wagyu. - in a nutshell I was fully intending

Had dinner here last night, and everything was fantastic. For appetizer, my GF and I enjoyed the sausage and goat cheese bruschetta and the crab cake. Was surprised at how good and full of crab meat the crab cake was. For dinner we shared the Taste of the World steak flight with mashed potatoes and collard greens as a side. The steaks were delicious and you could really tell the difference between all of them. Ridiculous flavors. And there was enough that we ended up going home with 3-4 oz of each one. Im excited thinking about them. And for dessert we had the peanut butter tart and the key lime

So many people rave about it and I do love this little historic park of town. I made reservations and hoped to be able to enjoy this old building but was sat outside. They seat you at tables that are close to the next table and is saw some people get seated together with strangers. No way I'm paying this $$$ to sit
With strangers . Im glad we got our own table but again it was very close to the ones around us. Particle board visible on the side of this fancy outdoor area wasn't beautiful but otherwise it's very nice out there.
The steak was very good but not $50 good
Mediocre sides

Called and made reservations. Received call back from Rudy confirming. We went and there was no reservation but it was a Tuesday so there was no problem getting a table. Was seated and no one came to table so I asked the first person that finally walked by if we were getting a server. Think she was a hostess but ended up taking and serving us. Had the "Pasta from Heaven" that was fantastic! In my opinion an upscale restaurant with upscale prices should make an Anniversary dinner a better experience.

Absolutely phenomenal in every way! First off we had reservations for 8 guests and ended up having 13. They accommodated us in every way and went above and beyond to make our experience top notch.
On to the food. My wife and I have ate at many high end restaurants and 3rd and Main is one of the best we have been to. Steak was cooked to perfection, scallops melted in your mouth, and Iām not sure why the other reviews were picking on the sausage goat cheese bruschetta. It was absolutely amazing in every way!

Amazing meal, friendly staff and great live music on the patio! We split a half dozen oysters to start. The selection changes every week but the Sunset Beach oysters were flavorful and delicious, prepared simply. We ended up sharing the Third and Main flight which is a fantastic value, ~30 oz of excellently prepared Angus, Angus/Wagyu and Wagyu cuts. The staff was so friendly and they even comped our dessert since we were celebrating a special occasion! Will definitely be back to celebrate next time!

Another amazing meal at Third and Main, people! We got flight of steaks from around the world, because we wanted to compare wagyu beef from Japan, Australia, and the USA (Having our own Olympics, if you will).
Before even getting to the beef, I have to shout out the staff. Everyone there is so incredibly knowledgeable about the steaks. If you don't know much about beef, they will excitedly educate you. This is the least pretentious steakhouse you will ever go to. If you don't dress up, nobody will give you "that look", but you don't feel out of place dressed up for date

We have been wanting to go to this restaurant since we moved to the area and it was worth the wait! First off the the restaurant is darling, their customer service was great! Jessica recommended menu options that were perfect!! We started with the bruschetta that tasted incredible. I had the Pasta from Heaven!! Wow! The shrimp was large and seasoned perfectly and the lobster was the best I've ever tasted!! My husband had the Surf and Turf! He barely shared, but the piece of steak I had was delicious! And the cherry on top of this incredible meal is they had Hop for the Teacher from

We have come here a couple of times now and neither time I've been overly impressed. The service is fine, the atmosphere is very laid back. The steaks are very good and seasoned perfectly so you get the flavor without a hard crust. I can appreciate the type of environment that they have.
I give three stars because the food should be AMAZING for the price point and it just isn't that. The mashed potatoes are not for me, sadly. There is a flavor in it that I couldn't pinpoint, perhaps rosemary? I couldn't eat them either time we got them. The asparagus is good but there are so
