This was quite the experience! The place is done up kind of like a castle, with stonework and timbers. Lots of armor all around. Very cool setting! They seem to have a surprisingly limited beer selection, especially German beers. I think it's basically just a couple Warsteiner beers, or domestic stuff. But the food was pretty good. Kind of like German American fusion. Had the sauerkraut balls which are definitely recommended. Basically, little reuben nuggets. Also tried the schnitzel and the Bavarian chicken, both well worth it. Fair warning, the sauerkraut packs a punch! It'll pucker you up real

Wonderful atmosphere. Craft beer. Full bar. Excellent food. Outstanding service. Plenty of parking. Wednesday is half price draft. I had the loaded baked potato soap to start. It is so good that I can't find words to describe....so total deliciousness is all I can say.
I ordered the Schnitzel Sandwich and it came with a potato pancake. You get a large portion. Grilled onions and some delicious sauce made this this best Schnitzel ever.
Sweet tea is brewed and not out of a soda machine.
I enjoyed my visit. I will definitely be back. I highly recommend this quaint resturant.

We travel to Germany an awful lot abs we've never been to this place before. Went in with high expectations admittedly.
The good:
Great ambience, though I question the six shooters and some American Indian items placed next to knights helmets?? Mind you, I have no problem with either, but it sends a really weird decor message.
I loved the baked potato soup, the Bavarian pretzels were tasty and the cheesecake! The cheesecake is out of this world! It's worth coming for just those items abs the cheesecake, truly!

Gorgeous views, quirky atmosphere, friendly people, and delicious food. I'm a little nervous going to a place where everyone is white, but the WW2 memorabilia is for a US marine, not the Germans. The food was perfectly cooked but just warm, it probably cooled off on the way to our table. I got the NY strip rare and it was tender and beautifully marbled, even though it was cool. The green beans were a stand out, like what my mom made. Other orders were Bavarian pork chops, cowboy burger, and schnitzel. We all had to take home half, because the portions are truly hearty.

This used to be one of my favorite spots to eat until recently. It just seems to be going downhill with the staff. We arrived at 8:25 on a Sunday and was told by a somewhat rude host that they were no longer seating. Within minutes a manager asked if we were ok with sitting at the bar and we were fine with that. Our server/bartender was very… attentive and provided great service. After the meal I presented an Entertainment Book coupon for $5 off a $15 purchase and was told that this coupon was not valid and that they were trying to remove this coupon with no luck. Group of 6. Great service. 1st picture is Pork Schnitzel. Thursday is $20 Ribeye + 1 side night. They were out of Ribeye and subbed Strip Steak. Strip steak is next 2 pictures. Onion slivers on steak are very good. If drinking at the outdoor River Bar, bring cash as they do not accept debit/credit cards. Cards are accepted inside the restaurant. Great place, will definitely return.

A horrible staff. I rarely, if ever leave a poor review. A young waitress rudely told members of my party to move from their seats, then told one of our people that "she didn't like her tone of voice", got her manager who said her waitress "had a right to complain" without even hearing what a member of our party had to say. It was so egregious that everyone in our group left.

Worst experience here ever! Right off the bat our server Briley had an attitude. I ordered iced tea with lemon and had to ask three times for lemon. It wasn’t until my husband asked that I got some. The tea was… all watered down and tasted like it was made from a powder. Got a spinach salad and the entire bowl was full of water. My grilled chicken breast was not fresh or seasoned in any way. It looked like it may have be frozen then grilled to the point where you could not cut it with a knife, then slathered with bottled bbq sauce. The baked potato was the only thing edible. I felt

Eh, I've been a few times. I like the sauerkraut balls, the Reuben and the pork chops are to die for... there is a secret to these chops! Wow! They are huge! I didn't listen to the Fam, went off on my own German curiosity by trying the deep fried brat/meat whatever it was ... do not get this. Ick. I give it four stars for the chops! The meal is big enough to share & grab ya some hot slaw now there's the dish! Nice view of the river, fire pit out back and even entertainment... I dig. Check it out!

Very cute outdoor space. German-themed and wooded. Plenty of picnic tables and spaces to spread out. Beautiful river overlook. The only real negative was that after ordering drinks at the outdoor bar we tried to order food to eat on the patio but couldn't. First we were told that we could order food online and bring it down, but online it said that online ordering was closed. It also said carry out was closed. The only way to get food was to go inside the dining room and eat. They are known for their authentic German food. Parking available in lots out front, can get packed on weekends.

I was very impressed with my experience on Father’s Day. The wait was long, but was made enjoyable and tolerable with the outside bar and DJ and picnic tables with umbrellas. The food was incredible, the staff… was very busy, still stayed very humble and approachable. I’ve lived 5 miles from this place most of my life, came a few times when I was younger. We went on the night the Menus played. It was great - like the whole west side was there. Great area outside for a band, really enjoyed it. We did have dinner also while we were there. The fish sandwich was very good, crispy and flakey and they have a good tarter sauce. Onion straws were very good also. Service was friendly and quick, especially for how busy they were. Price was reasonable and you always get a good sized serving.

Read all the reviews about Monday night pork chop night so headed right over and the 3 Of us placed our order. So tough you could hardly cut them. Flavor was good but very disappointed. When our server asked about our food we explained how dry and tough the pork was. The table next to us had the same issue. We were told there was a new guy on the grill. Unacceptable for the price of $18 or so.
