Dr. Sekijima has been practicing orthodontics in the Renton Highlands since 1988. He is a Bellevue native and a graduate of Sammamish High School. He earned his Bachelor of Arts and Dental degrees from the University of Washington and received his Orthodontic specialty training at the University of Missouri where he also earned a Masters in Oral Biology.
There is never a charge for your initial consultation. The initial consultation includes a comprehensive examination, a panelipse x-ray, review of the clinical diagnosis, and a detailed discussion by Dr. Sekijima of your treatment options with the benefits of each. Dr. Sekijima will also estimate treatment time, costs, and type of braces or other orthodontic appliances.
While wearing a retainer is very simple it is a very complex and powerful appliance. A retainer is designed to keep your teeth where your braces moved them. Wearing your retainer as instructed is the key to maintaining success of your orthodontic treatment. Baby molar teeth, also known as primary molar teeth, hold needed space for permanent teeth that will come in later.
Patients are seen by appointment only. We make every effort to be on time for our patients, and ask that you extend the same courtesy to us. If you must change an appointment, please notify us at least twenty-four hours in advance so that we can offer that appointment time to another patient. We schedule certain types of appointments at specific times of the day to best accommodate all of our patients.
There are very few true orthodontic emergencies. Most problems can be easily handled at home. However if the emergency includes trauma to the teeth please call your general dentist or Dr. Sekijima. Brackets are the parts of braces attached to teeth with a special adhesive. They are generally positioned in the center of each tooth.

Dr. Bill is dedicated to patient satisfaction of their smile! He was patient in answering all of my questions in a way that was easy to understand. His care team is wonderful. Special shoutout to Kelly who made a beautiful lower retainer for me. I love it! It fits perfectly. I highly recommend Dr. Bill and his team for their care and efficiency.
