Probably one of the shadiest and worst companies I've ever had to interact with. First, the law that's in place thru VA was violated. The amount of the time needed until was unfulfilled as it requires at least an hour until the car can be towed (unless blocking an entrance/exit) which I wasn't. I was parked in an area that required a permit (Book holders for those curious), however as previously stated the law was violated. As well as the company not providing not documentation or signoff for towing the car that must be provided by signoff of the property owner being book holders

Their website says they are closed on Sunday's with "NO EXCEPTIONS" (they use all caps on the website for emphasis). My car was towed on a Saturday after 11pm. I called the phone number Sunday morning multiple times and left a voicemail and no one called me back. I go to pick up my car on Monday and they said if I had picked up the car on Sunday I would have avoided the additional holding fee. I mentioned my calls and the website and the guy just chuckled. They also state on the website that they accept cash and/or credit/debit. When you go to pick up your car, they will tell you it is cash only

They took my car out of my complex that I live in with the correct sticker. Gave me a hard time with getting my car back after their driver messed up. Inconvenienced me by having me to pick up my car when they should have brought it back to me because of their mess up.

They towed my car . When I called the lady said $140 to pick it up at 12 on Monday. Mind you towed my car on a Sunday early morning. When asked her for her name she wouldn’t give it to me . Called Monday to pick my car up the guy says $190 a storage fee. They clearly gotta be broke and using the money for crack. Both him and her were very rude.

My wife got my car towed on 11/9/20. A little bit of background - She borrowed my car because the fuel economy was better than her truck. She's a professional photographer, and had just finished a week long session in North Carolina. We're from Maryland, and she was passing through Virginia.
She and her second photographer stopped at Chipotle for about 20 minutes, and came out and the car was gone. At the end of the parking lot, was a little tow away sign.
The guy who towed the car got her all of her work back, as well as the vehicle the same night. With photography, timing is crucial, as very

If there is less than one star I would give them. Those guys are thefts, trying to tow anyone for no reason. And when you call or come to pick up the car, they are very disgusting guys like the car is theirs and they behave very rude. Rude Rude Rude.

Didn't inform me they were closing in 15 minutes when I called to see what the fee would be. They NEED to change their hours to 24 hour if they don't want to piss people off.

Literally the most predatory business I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with. They provide "free" parking lot patrol services to apartment buildings in lower income neighborhoods around the area. The reason their service is free however is because they literally make soooo much money off of terrorizing the residents of these places by towing their "illegal" vehicles. Even if it's just a registration that's a day past it's renewal date, or a flat tire, or a resident car parked in a visitor section.

The reason they don't accept credit cards is because

Had my car illegally towed twice by them. I've had issues with getting my car back and the staff has seemed less than helpful each time I've dealt with them.

I bought a parking pass from my property manager valid for 10 days, Hippodrome Apartments in Jackson Ward, and was towed after 1 day. The parking pass is clearly visible even when I picked up my car and paid $135 for the bogus tow. Clearly before they towed my car the pass was even more visible. Clearly they cannot read nor do the honor parking passes provided by the very establishment they are contracted by. When I called about it they said in was parked in "the owner's spot" - there is nothing to denote this information anywhere. They did not even bother to call the property manager, who's information

Straight-up stole my car from my regular parking spot and called it "Tresspassing" then have the nerve to stay closed until 10 am.
I wouldn't advocate for violence online, but as Donald Trump would say, I'd chip in on you attourney fees.

I cant say I've ever dealt with them. But the practice of towing an elderly Military Veterans car because it was 1 day past the annual inspection at his apartment complex is just plain moronic. Ya'll oughtt to be ashamed of yourselves. And even had WWBT investigate you. I wish the Veteran well in court.

I took a chance and parked in non visitor parking and was towed! First reaction was mannnnnnn this sucks but I know I did wrong...I just wanted a close spot to my friends unit at 1am lol. I have to say when calling for info on how to get my car..."Jay" was pretty nice on the phone and helpful directing me to their lot, when I arrived there it wasn't the tow company that I was shocked by... It was how other people just like me picking up cars actually talked to these guys. I was blown away on how nasty people are when knowing they were in the wrong. So to me these guys are just doing

This is why you should never ever do business with Simm's Towing. In fact, if you see their sign, find somewhere else to park. Even if you think you're a good citizen who parks correctly every time....

I have my car signed in a parking contract with 1200 W Marshall student apartments. They have a contract with Simm's Towing and Recovery, and that's how I got my car towed.

I pay $60 a month to have my car parked in this garage. In the contract, it says towing will occur for any cars parked outside the lines, in handicap spots (if not handicap) and any "illegally parked

Please note the "reviews not currently recommended" We were towed from a private parking lot, paid-up-to-date with parking tag visible. A flat tire does not make an abandoned vehicle. This unscrupulous towing company provides hasty and costly towing service for several apartment complexes

Would give zero stars if I could. These jackals cruise parking lots in Richmond and take cars that are legally parked and then hold them for cash ransome. Virginia law says towing companies should take credit cards and these guys don't.
