This was a great spot for lunch! I had the maple dr sandwich(brisket with jalapeños, cheese, coleslaw and smothered with bbq sauce that all worked really well together. The slaw complimented the jalapeño and the sauce terrifically.

I don't usually order brisket as I've smoked many in my life and am a bit particular about it when ordering out. The brisket was just about perfect! I wish I had taken a picture but I failed.

Next time I'm in the area, I'll be stopping back in!

Thanks for the tasty lunch!!!

Great food! I had their build a sandwich, sourdough bread with Turkey, lettuce, tomato, onion, and mayo with fries.
The only down side is the lack of seating.

I’m not one to complain or even leave a review but I was disappointed last Sunday when I picked up my order at Joes Deli in Oishei Childrens Hospital. I ordered the Rachel Ann and my bread was burnt. I’m a nurse and I had a busy assignment that day so I couldn’t take it back and wait for them to make me another one. I was starving so, I ate it anyway. I know we all make mistakes but in the future I’d appreciate it if from now on that if you burn something throw it out and start over. Don’t give a burnt sandwich to a customer.

I should have listened to all the bad reviews about the hertel location. I ordered a 534 Elmwood but decided to switch the bread to rye. I got a sandwich with meat and cheese, a little bit of slaw and a ton of bbq. The bread wasn’t toasted so the whole thing was a soggy sloppy mess. Instead of house made chips, I got a bag of lays. I brought it back in and the worker argued with me instead of apologizing. Told me I probably could not see the onions and that I needed to specifically ask for house made chips. I get that the sandwich is normally on a hard roll but with the change in bread you would

Sandwiches were good. The pastrami was cooked well and hot. The bread did not hold up well. Wasn't worth the 11.50 price. Served with chips which looked home made and very good. But NO pickle!! Service not great!! Not worth a tripback

One of the best reuben’s I can recall having. Wife had a Big Mike wrap and we shared a The Body as well. All of them were top notch. 100% will be ordering from here again!

Joe's Deli is a Buffalo mainstay and after trying the sandwiches here, it is easy to see why. I would recommend the beef on weck if you want to try a food item popular in the area (this sandwich is popular in the northern part of New York), but their sandwich called "the Cutlet" for me is the real winner here. A chicken cutlet topped with spinach, mushrooms and cheese is it thing of great Beauty. I would definitely recommend this.

The lines can get kind of long, but that is just a testament to their popularity. If you are in the Buffalo area and looking for a good sandwich, I would

Very good sandwiches and salads. Did not like the house chips. Salad dressing was watered-down. Awful customer service, I had to return to get the dressing for the salad. I mention that would have to goto the store or return for the dressing. I got a reply of "God it was just a mistake"

I have always been meaning to come here. I ended up going with a few friends on lunch hour, and was not disappointed. Upon suggestion, I got the Ruben sandwich. It was delicious. I’ll definitely be back with the family.

Let's not get it twisted, their food is wonderful. I've never had a bad sandwich or soup from this place. That being said, I've also rarely had a great customer experience there either. The staff is never friendly, many times oblivious and mostly just rude. Today. Not a soul in line except me... no one greeted me, acknowledged I was there and two of them stood with their back to us for almost 5 minutes. Surely they heard us talking. When she finally graced us with her attention, she acted like she was doing us a favor. Same when the order was ready. Dumped on the end of the counter

Sandwiches are very good but the service was awful. "Raised" their pieces but no signs saying that. We thought we paid $1.95 for the Greek salad that the container said but nope. $2.25. didn't mention that checking out & when I said something the lady was rude. Asked us if we wanted fries, we said yes. Never mentioned that it was 2.25 for very little fries. Couldn't eat inside although you could at the other location. I'd go to the other one before ever coming to this one again. We paid $40 for 3 sandwiches which is absolutely ridiculous. Poor service✌ also the fries were cold AF.

If I am craving soup and a sammie, I automatically come here. The sandwiches are so flavorful and come on the best bread. The soups are home made and delicious. This place is not close to me at all, but I make the drive for the food. I stumbled upon this place by accident one day, and that was the best accident of my life.

Wanted to try something different so I ordered from this deli. Did a build your own special. Chicken salad with franks on sour dough. Added cheddar, lettuce, cukes, and sprouts. Bottles of pop were severely over priced but I was excited to get a can of loganberry.

Chicken salad was great. Not too much Mayo. Good sized chunks of chicken. Fresh produce. I'm a sucker for a toasted piece of sour dough.

Finished the meal with a side of Greek pasta salad. Great chunks of veggies, feta and bow tie pasta.

Will definitely order again.

I was sincerely disappointed by Joe's, I had such high hopes for this place. My delivery was very fast but when I got my wrap it was barely rolled up, you could tell it had been sloppily made. I pretty much paid for lettuce in a white tortilla. Next to no chicken, I think a single piece of crispy avocado in each half, barely any dressing. The tuna mac had a very strange tang to it. This is one place I won't be trying again.

Joe's deli is handling the Covid realness very well & it shows! Might I recommend ordering online for faster service, however the counter service is working out great as they have put up plexiglass barriers. There's four different varieties of soup daily & if you haven't tried them you're definitely missing out!! This place is a Buffalo gem!

Came to Joe's right before closing to pick up a sandwich. We were craving the 1322 Original -- a simple sandwich, pretty hard to mess up. They got the hard part right and the easy part wrong. The pastrami was spicy and flavorful and pretty delicious but that's basically it. The bread was soggy (we waited just a few minutes to eat after purchasing) and the cole slaw we purchased separately on the side was completely rancid which is super disappointing. If they could fix the simple stuff, it would be easily 5/5 stars but until then, 3 it is.

A few Co-workers and I came here for lunch on an early Thursday afternoon. The weird thing was we thought we were going to Mo's place for lunch. When we talked to the bar tender (at Mo's) she explained they did not serve food, but the deli next door did. I believe they are affiliated with one another. She was kind and got us menus and even took our order. We ordered about 11:30. We waited nearly an hour for lunch. Once it came out, it was really excellent. I was shocked at how good my sandwich was. Hands down one of the best tofu sandwich's I've ever had. I would absolutely

DON'T ORDER ONLINE. COMPLETELY MISSED AND FORGOT MY ORDER.
(Second time they screwed up)

Ordered online. Showed up at the approx time to be ready and wasn't ready at all. Order to pickup time was 30 minutes. I showed up and had to wait an additional 30 minutes for my order while they helped many people that came into the restaurant after me. Also none of the workers acknowledge that they missed my order and it was being made right then and there. I was waiting blindly.

Also after getting home I found out the sandwiches were made wrong according to the order. Very disappointing.

I work at Ecmc on the overnight shift. Joe's Deli was our "free" lunch for the night. The sandwiches were amazing. I specifically tried the ham and roast beef. Hands down best quality. The flavor of the ham was so good. Tasted like it was honey ham which is my favorite. They also gave us in a nice little box a cookie and bag of chips. Chocolate chip was paired with the ham, excellent choice and with the roast beef I got a sugar cookie. Both were very good. I have never heard of this place before but I highly recommend it. Thank you for the lunch Joe's Deli! It was a nice treat

We've been coming to Joe's every couple months for lunch probably since they've opened quite a few years ago. We've never had anything that we didn't like or wouldn't order again.

My lunch partner and I always order different sandwiches and split them between us for the variety, plus an order of tuna mac salad to split. The salad portion is generous, so more than enough to share. Our go-to favorites are always either a Muffuletta (love the chunky green olive spread) or a Frank Stallone and one of something else. There's many things that I myself would enjoy

The service is great, even if we were a little let down by the food.

They have kids meals that are a good value at $5.50 for an entree and choice of two sides (or a drink and a side or two drinks.)

My son ordered chicken nuggets. They are definitely made with the child nugget connoisseur in mind - if that child favors McDonald's nuggets, and of course I came in with the one child who doesn't. Plus you could tell it was fried in the same oil as the fish which didn't bother me, but did bother him. The actual chicken was very juicy and better quality than McDonald's. The batter
