Boothbay Animal Hospital

All the staff at BBAH has been exceptionally friendly every time I've dealt with them.
I think highly of all the Vets & Techs I've dealt with, with the exception of one vet who diagnosed a cancerous toe-sore as an infection. (I don't believe she is with them any more.)
I have always been able to get appointments on short notice, even during the summer, and the prices are very good compared to the vets I deal with in Maryland.

This practice is not only polite and professional, they also really do care! If I could give a higher rating I would!

I have been pleased to be a client, my dogs have received excellent care and Boothbay animal hospital has always been able to fit us in in an emergency which I find to be very important and exceptional.

The staff are top notch! They will make both your fur babies and yourself comfortable the best they can.

The clinic was better before it was purchased by a conglomerate. It is not as personal and more expensive but we have no other options on the peninsula. The staff is great, but it is obvious that is a very corporate business now.

Last night my dog experienced something that left him lame, lethargic, sick and confused. My dear wife called Boothbay Animal Hospital (where we have been going for 33 years) and asked if we could bring him in anytime today. They told her, harshly, that they were too busy and only had one vet. They suggested perhaps to take him down to Portland. I called as I could not believe that the one time, in over 30 years, I had an emergency with an animal they would coldly turn me away. But, they confirmed that they could not see him at all today or even provide an estimate of when they could see him in

First the quality care and respect of the pet coming to see them is the Best around, and the way they spend time with each pet and it's owner is very relaxing.. even if they are giving you bad news, they seem to know just how to ease pain and move forward positive. Of course Dr Dean and his staff of techs are very professional/caring people and my 4 dogs and 2 cats are very lucky to have them as their Vets! Thanks for being there for us all... Carole

We recently adopted a new puppy. Our family now includes three dogs and a cat, all of whom we entrust to the care of Boothbay Animal Hospital. Because we live 40 minutes from BAH, there are vets who would be closer and more convenient. However, Dr Dean and everyone associated with BAH are the best, so professional and compassionate, whether bringing an animal for its first visit or end of life care. I cannot say enough good things about the entire team…

Wonderful first appointment with Dr. Miller after our dog went through an anaphylactic crisis and was hospitalized in Portland for three nights. Some of the best veterinarians in the mid coast! We drive from Camden and use a couple of hospitals for our three dogs, but I am so impressed with Boothbay and their level of care and knowledge. We will be driving an hour to continue seeing Dr. Miller with our boy. Thrilled to be a client!

Very caring, attentive, compassionate and helpful!  Dr. Dean is super at explaining options and recommendations, not to mention his surgical skill.  7 weeks post up and our 11+ year old lab is back doing what he loves to do!
