As the old adage goes, "An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure." When it comes to cats and dogs, the best plan is always to stay ahead of the game with preventive care including annual wellness exams, vaccinations, and indicated laboratory tests. Unfortunately, when our pets gets sick, they don't always let us know right away.
This is a fatal viral disease of all mammals including, dogs, cats, livestock and humans. Infected wildlife and unvaccinated animals are the source of this virus. Because rabies is a significant health hazard, it is extremely important to vaccinate your pet. In many states and cities, rabies vaccine is required by law.

What is pre-anesthetic bloodwork? This is a recommended blood test that looks at the major organs that process anesthetic medications, such as kidneys and liver. Our pre-anesthetic bloodwork profiles check seven blood values: ALT, ALP, BUN, CREAT, TP, GLUC, and PVC. ALT (alanine aminotransferase): enzyme that becomes elevated with liver disease or injury.
Ultrasound allows the vet to examine the internal organs of your pet in a painless manner with no known side effects. It can be used to uncover structural damage, deformities, or abnormalities to the heart, liver, stomach, kidney, and other major bodily organs. Ultrasound can also capture real time movements of the organs, so functional abnormalities can also be found.

What service! These people care! This little mama had 8 puppies via c-section, she was all covered up in warm blankets to go home at 8 that night with her pups. They brought them out to the car and we delivered them all back to them family we had driven for. Safe sound and healthy, after hours on a cold night for an Amish family that didn't drive.

We came to the clinic after much search for a veterinary clinic who could help us out. Our two (at the time) put bulls had gotten lose and we're missing six days. When we finally found them they had been stuck by either the same or two or more porcupine. They each had at least 100 quills in their face/head. At like 3:00 in the afternoon, we got ahold of bestie river clinic and they gave us a quote that was half the price as any vet in GT county. What a God send. We now own six pit bulls. They have been our veterinarians for almost three years now. They're great! Thank you Dr. Robin and all of the

I've been active in dog rescue for years, and have always liked my vet's office, wherever I've lived. However, Dr. Daly and Betsie River goes way above and beyond, in their knowledge, care of the animals, follow-through and compassion. This is the first place that has called me after hours just to check on my dog and make sure the treatment seems to be helping. Plus they are very reasonably priced. Highly recommend.

Spent $190 to have porcupine quills removed from my Vizsla. $35 for a "pre-exam", $55 for anesthesia and $100 to remove the quills. Since bringing him home I've removed one from his mouth, one from his chest and two from his back. What's frustrating is telling the tech about the quills in his mouth and they didn't check him.
